Android Auto on the 2018 Mitsubishi Lineup

This touch screen is found in the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander, Outlander PHEV, and RVR. The Eclipse Cross and the Mirage have different head units, but have the same capability as what I am showing in this video.
*Just realized after it was uploaded that the A/C fan was blowing right into the microphone of the Ipad I was using to film this video, which kind of messed everything up...*

Apps don't work on 2019 model, Bluetooth works you can make phone calls. It's not the limited edition.

Brengt Internet in de auto. Spotify gebruik ik veel en Google Maps is handig in geval je alleen reist en navigatie nodig hebt. Stem gestuurd je navigatie bedienen is top. Nu bel ik nooit in de auto, maar als er gebeld wordt kun je ook gewoon met knop op het stuur de telefoon bedienen. Jammer dat Android niet volledig het Nederlands ondersteunt. Wil je onderwerp een Podcast luisteren werkt ook goed. Fijn dat de telefoon wordt opgeladen indien aangesloten. Mijn auto heeft geen wifi waardoor Android auto een kabel nodig heeft.

Can you connect your Iphone or Android to any of the two USB ports and the Unit will automatically detected or has to be plugged in to an specific port depending if you are using Iphone or Android?

Yes, and it auto detects, as long as you have one of the apps loaded, based on the type of phone you use. The specific ports are on the dashboard console that have to be used to connect via one of those apps, or via Bluetooth.

Just got the PHEV 2019 in da house, and it seems that the Android Auto is not available in this country (Norway). I’m curious if it means that the app is not ready for the 2019 version, or if it means that the cell phone is not ready for it. On iPhone, you asks? On iPhone it works seemless, as always

Just download apk file from diferent sources than play and instal it on your phone. On the radio app is ready for it just android auto is not available in some counties yet.

Most of them yes. The ES mirage does not come equipped with it, however the ES Plus package and higher do (In Canada)

No, they removed the CD player to increase the size of the screen. Most companies now are starting to take out the CD Player as it's becoming an obsolete form of media. It does have Bluetooth Audio streaming, USB streaming, and Spotify/Google play connectivity with Apple Carplay/Android Auto.

Kyle Lagace I own a 2017 with the rockfordfosgate system and all calls have a very poor volume, I called the dealer and was told it is a problem that mitsubishi will not fix

Mitsu Lancer Its all the way up, 11 is the highest, been to dealer and no fix, when I first make the call and begins to ring its high but the volume begins to drop after the 2nd ring almost impossible to use

Voice calls have extremely low volume, basically worthless to have since you cant hear the call even with the volume all the way up, you should say no handsfree available

Yes its ridiculous! I have to turn the air/heat off every time I get a call. Why can I only go to volume 11?? What's the point?

I don't have that problem, voices come thru very loud....maybe you need to adjust your phone

You adjust the volume for the phone while you are using it In other words you have to be on the phone talking to someone Then just use the volume control to raise or lower the volume.

You can only adjust the volume of the void while it’s talking.

Google Maps and Waze are atrocious navigation apps on AA. No clear bar displaying which road you're currently driving on, inconsistent display for upcoming and side roads, text display is tiny. Honestly, the stock satnav in my 2014 Toyota Hilux is infinitely better than this trashy system. Why isn't 'HereWeGo' an option for the AA system!? SMH...
