Those who are having ADB Issues,Increase your allocated ram Go to Help->Edit Custom VM Options Do this to increase the ram allocated Xms128m -Xmx4096m -XX:MaxPermSize=1024m -XX:ReservedCodeCacheSize=200m -XX:+UseCompressedOops Xmx specifies the maximum memory allocation pool for a Java Virtual Machine (JVM), while Xms specifies the initial memory allocation pool. Your JVM will be started with Xms amount of memory and will be able to use a maximum of Xmx amount of memory. Save the studio.vmoptions file and restart Android Studio.

After I did this, on starting android studio it threw a launch error "failed to create jvm ". I have unistalled and installed android studio, created java home variable several times but it always fails to launch android studio. So here I am, not even able to start the studio :(

those OS version images we select during avd creation, are they separate things, or do they come as part of the SDK's that we installed in beginning using SDK manager?. When you click download for another image from that scree, is it downloading the whole SDK?

Emulator is not intalling for AMD ....I'm trying many time ..but it's fail....it shows msg(unable to intall .....XAXM can only intall on window.plz file bug against android studio) .....but I'm working on window10.....but still not working..... pls help me what I do@smartherd

HAXM is for machines which have Intel processors. If you have AMD,google out AMD accelerator and find how to activate
