*Pros:* Goku doesn't die, the conflict is resolved faster and cuts down on civilian casualties. *Cons:* The upgrade forms of Super Saiyan are quite possibly never discovered, 17 and 18 die without the chance to reform, there's another Cell out there the heroes don't know about, Vegeta is possibly still evil due to never connecting with human empathy, Piccolo is weaker due to not fusing with Kami, Trunks potentially goes back home and gets killed like the version of himself from Perfect Cell's timeline, and everyone is hilariously outmatched by Dabura (let alone Buu) when he comes to Earth in a few years' time.

Actually we don't get that far. Because the Cell Saga doesn't progress to the Cell Games, since Cell is stuck in his base form and gets clowned on, Gohan never appears on TV and Goku doesn't die. It's quite likely that Gohan and Videl never meet, meaning no Pan. They just can't make a super sandwich god, so Beerus either leaves or blows up the planet. One or the other. If he blows up the planet, then I guess that's that, but if he just leaves, then the TOP doesn't happen, because that only happened at all because kakacarrot cake gave them the idea.

Then Trunks got the Androids' schematics, went back to his future to get his mom to build a way to disable the androids in his timeline, essentially beating and destroying them. But since he never got training with Vegeta, he got jumped and killed by Imperfect Cell. Cell then stole the time machine to go back to the past to begin his plan to absorb 17 and 18. Which leads again to the main timeline.

Android 20 and 19 are all comparable and pushing 3 years time skip goku and piccolo. To put it in simpler words, android 20 and 19 absorbs the ki and then kills everyone 💀

Future Cell would become Perfect on account of how Trunks wouldn't have trained to become more powerful than the androids. They'd still be alive when he finally reached a power strong enough to absorb them. Perfect Cell steals the time machine, which in his perfect form he can fit comfortably inside, and returns to the present timeline at top power and easily kills everyone. Yay! Party!!!!

I just realized if they did this, they all would’ve died, which is probably why we didn’t get to see the version of the world where they did Because trucks had already came back into the past , which means cell was going to return no matter what Our trunk killed the second cell that was supposed to return , but the original trunks died to the original cell, which is the one that they fought, and he still would’ve returned Meaning that they wouldn’t have had the battle experience, and the boost from the previous conflicts to help them hold the line even with the first two forms of cell Meaning that by the time they get the perfect cell, they would be completely screwed , luckily, like would’ve stayed base So it’s up in the air , if they don’t have the battle strength necessary to defeat base cell, they would die But if they did would be destroyed, and there is no reason to the story of that point

Okay lets logically go through what would happen if they did listen to her. Gero, 16, 17, 18 and 19 would be destroyed before any of them were ready. Goku would probably take over training both Trunks and Gohan would tag along because Goku would think it'd be good to train. Remember, Goku's original plan at the end of the Cell games was to have Gohan be the next savior of earth. Vegeta would find his Super Saiyan being a big baby crying in space. Probably Gohan would too as he would have to keep up much more now that Trunks and Goku are Super Saiyans. And throwing in Vegeta would definitely bring this around which would make Vegeta train more, and out pops Baby Trunks in 9 months. Piccolo would probably not fuse with Kami. After three years, All the Androids are destroyed already so no threat. After training with Goku and Gohan and sometimes Vegeta, Trunks goes back to his future, kills Android 17 and 18, and would get killed by Cell sneaking up on him snapping his neck. Goku's out of commision due to his heart virus for a bit which gives Cell more time to absorb people. None are able to sense him and even when they do find him, he's just getting stronger absorbing people until he's so strong that no one can stop him. Cell finds out that 17 and 18 are dead and instead decides to absorb Goku, Vegeta, Gohan and anyone else that gets in his way. With no way to sense him, they all fall victim to Cell who with his new powers stolen from everyone, decides to blow up Earth and go on a rampage knowing full well he is the strongest being in the universe, So good job, Bulma you doomed us all!

From what i can tell that timeline did happen and it was the one where cell came from. We forget : without the appearance of cell and the androids probably no one would have reached super sayajin 2 or beyond making the buu saga impossible to beat. It wasnt the smartest thing to do and at times wanting to become stronger only makes things worse ( i mean babibi at the end used the gained strenght from gohan to revive buu) but it always has ups and downs. Future trunks could at least bring peace to his future( if we act like super never existed at least).

Looking in retrospect, I don’t think so. Given Goku’s selfish requests in the Saiyan Saga, his clemency in the Frieza Saga and what we later see with Cell’s Senzu and Goku’s decision to fight Majin Vegeta, the Z Fighters have a track record of stupidity. As for the Buu saga, even without the threat of something to train for, 10ish years of Goku and Co naturally training (Goku would want to get his son to Ssj, and Vegeta would want to fight Goku every now and again) and they should be good. Especially in a universe where they don't find "underhanded" tactics cheap.
