Which do you prefer? the Samsung Galaxy A53 with its gloss frame and matte back? or the Samsung Galaxy A54 with matte frame and gloss back? We think one is better than the other but what do you think?

I'm tired of reviewers obsessing over dumb finish differences that don't matter because 90% of people are going to use a case anyway. That's how we ended up with glass backs that are less durable and other dumb distinctions like rounded off edges on screens so it's annoying AF to get a screen protector to work.

Give me shiny yet durable plastic over glass and matte matte looks plain and stuff! And I WISH the specialized colors were more readily available (I know you can do it Samsung) I'd ask for hot rose pink and like have it fade to light pink or something like that semi gloss plastic

I like A54 more. One of the reasons cause it was easiest one to repair. And matte back feels better too.

I felt that thr a53 feel cheaper The glossy frame looked like plastic and gives off strong galaxy a7 2018 vibes since rubbing the frame, it feels insanely plasticky The a54 felt nicer on hand, feels a bit like the iphone xr/11 If using a case the a54 obviously feels more sturdier to hold than the a53

The black A54 works the best, it's harder to tell, but the screen to frame is the way you can always tell the frame material, you just need more frame when it 's plastic.

Ok i had the a53, and if you like your phone without a case, that phone felt AWFUL to hold because it was big and the back was slippery.

Don't really care, I use a case. But for replacing batteries and durability....plastic for sure, handles impacts better than glass

I like the a54's glass back because I can just put a clear clase on it and use the back as a mirror insted of opening the whole camera app.

It really doesnt matter to me because the first thing I do when i get a new phone is put it in a good phone case, so i can be sure it won't shatter the first time it slips from my butter fingers.😂😂😂

I prefer the glossy back cuz I can use it as a mirror too and I don't really care abour smudges or keeping it clean anyways cuz I just use a case on it. More of my issue is the smaller screen size compare to last year's A53. I mean if Samsung is dropping the A7_ line of phones they could've improved or atleast merged its popular features to the A5_ series instead. And I would take the squared off edges of the A54 over the curved edges on A53 cuz curved edges is not that comfortable to hold anyways. I should know because I used to own Galaxy Note series phones from Note 8 to Note 20 Ultra and those phones wasn't as comfortable to hold as advertised and the curved screen is more prone to accidental touches. So everything he discussed here isn't really an issue for an average phone user but more of a nitpick.

Yeah mine is going in a case!! So... it won't really matter! Even at that price point it is NOT cheap let's not kid ourselves especially in these times and....economy.... and also occasionally I wipe off my phone even though covid is....overhyped germs always gave me icks! Glossy looks cool under clear case sooo... I got the violet one❤

I have the Galaxy A54 5G in Awesome Black/Graphite and so far my experience of it is very good. It's not excellent though but fair and good enough. Though I miss my broken Note20 Ultra 5G whose screen repair cost as much as buying an A54 5G so I didn't get it fixed given the no guaranteed support for the software update anymore it sucks to get my Note20 Ultra's screen repaired. However had they atleast increased the screen size of the A54 5G rather than decreased it... It would have been the most excellent midrange phone that isn't trying hard to be a flagship killer phone compare to other phones. Though I still hope next year Samsung goes for a more than 6.5" phone on the Galaxy A55 5G, maybe 6.7"-6.8"?! #ProudSamsungGalaxyA545Gownerhere

I don't like glass backs on anything, they look great, don't get me wrong, but they're horrible fingerprint magnets. I currently own a OnePlus 8T, which has a glass back, but I use a phone case.
