Moto G4: How to Boot into Fastboot Mode

You can boot the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus into Fastboot Mode, which is also known as Bootloader Mode, by following these steps.

Yoo my power button is not working and my phone ran out of battery, when I searched on the internet, it asked me to press volume down key and connect my phone into a PC. I did it and this screen came but how can I reboot when my power button is not working!!?

My phone got dropped in water and took me to this screen, but its also flashing and won't let me restart when I push the power and down volume key. How do I reboot it?

I would try keeping the phone off and putting it in some rice. Don't use it for a few days (maybe a week). Let all that moisture come out before trying to power it back on. The buttons could start working again

I have tried turning it off multiple times, and because the buttons aren't working I can't. Is my phone just straight up screwed? Thanks for your help.

@@ExplainingAndroid I hate people saying that DONT USE RICE it gets stuck in the ports and dust gets inside the phone your best option is to take it apart as much as you can dry off what u can and let the sensitive parts dry out in open air that's your best bet I've tried rice my self and sure it worked but it left a mess and plugged my ports I had to take the whole thing apart to clear it up

@@pvtwildwolf5958 I'm sorry you dislike the suggestion, but for many people a dusty USB port is nothing compared to a water damaged phone there are many options to try, but using rice is common because it's something many people have laying around that actually draws out moisture. you can always set the phone in the rice port side down to minimize this (or just use a piece of tape)

After I flashed stock firmware it won't boot into bootloader. What do?

Had you previously enabled USB Debugging mode before it shut down?

Make sure you have ADB services up (with adb devices), then press and hold the Volume Down button. Continue holding that button down while you plug in a USB cable (that's already connected to your PC). That should get you into Fastboot Mode. You can then go into the command prompt and type "fastboot reboot" (without the quotes) and then press enter. I just tested this on my Nexus 6P and it worked, so I faith (but not 100% confident) that it will work on the Moto G4. Let me know how it turns out!

maybe try plugging it into the charger while you're pressing/holding the Volume Up or Volume Down buttons?

If you press and hold the Power button for 10-15 seconds, it should power it down/restart the phone. When it boots back up is it still booting into Fastboot Mode?
