How to Fix Xiaomi Redmi "System Has Been Destroyed" Bootloop Error?

I'm using the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 here but this bootloop fix will work on many smartphones from the company.

I was looking to install a custom ROM on my Redmi Note 8 and made a mistake that threw my smartphone into a bootloop. This is different than the typical bootloop that I'm used to seeing so I thought it would be a good topic for a video.
This boot loop keeps tossing up an error message that reads "The System Has Been Destroyed" and then continues by saying you need to "Press Power Button to Shutdown" and just a simple button press does nothing here.
Thankfully, we can still boot the phone into Fastboot Mode and manually install a freshly downloaded copy of MIUI. I've done tutorials on this in the past using the Xiaomi Mi Flash Tool but this time we'll just be executing the flash_all.bat file.
You can use the tool if you'd like. I'll leave a link to a previous unbrick tutorial I've done that shows the process. Since it's the same you can follow the basic steps and just replace the copy of MIUI that matches your phone instead.

3. Download/extract the MIUI firmware that matches your device/model/codename. [02:46]
4. Connect the smartphone to the PC with a USB cable.

I had this error after putting it in the shield upside down by mistake (shield pressing on the buttons). I just turned it off and on, it works.

Hi Thank you for this detailed video. Your steps as well as explanations like "this is not stuck, we have to wait till it finishes setting up" bit helped a lot. I was being impatient. I too had a problem with twrp recovery img. After unlocking I was trying to root my phone, and after fastboot flash recovery twrp.img cmd, when I tried to enter the recovery stage, got this error "system has been destroyed". After reinstalling, I tried again going to recovery, got the same error and had to reinstall miui os a second time. So I rooted my phone without the twrp recovery option. All good now. The phone I have has the system destroyed issue. All partitions are RAW, not ext4 or anything. OEM Unlocking is off and bootloader is locked. Is there anything I can do to fix the device, even temporarily so that I can enable OEM Unlocking?

Hi, so I was trying to flash MIUI back to my Redmi Note 9 Pro (Joyeuse Global) device and for some reason I had this "System has been destroyed" error. When I try to do this not script is running after running the .bat file. I also noticed that my device isn't on the list when I try to use "adb devices" or "fastboot devices".

Happened to me after locking bootloader. I flashed Pixel Expirience ROM and wanted to lock the bootloader and then shown this screen... Helped Mi Unlock with unlocking bootloader again.

It should be in the files that you unzipped. If not it's possible you downloaded an incorrect version of the firmware (recovery ROM instead of fastboot ROM, for example)

and how you flash if the boot loder is locked? but it dosent let you flash in locked state, I got a Redmi note 11pro 5G with global veux marware and boot loader was never opend, it got a software upgrade and after that it went system has been destroyed. I can't flash with MI flash, and cantunlock boot loader with MI unlock because the phone cant resev sms, or at least I can't access tothe phones manu right ?! :D so I also tried TFT unlock but it dosen't suports my phone, now I want to try python, but I can't find a tutorIal with it :/

I had some difficulties, here my little hints: - I had to change several IMG and the one that workd for me is EEA Global. - I had to change the directory where I initially installed ADB tools because the script didn't work correctly on c:..program files etc.. Hello, I have to say that the tutorial is very clear first! I have an issue with my note 8 at the step 7 when i execute the flash_all.bat file. I see the 1st line appear, with at the end : "echo Missmatching image and device" but nothing else happens. I even tried without the phone connected to have the same result. Do you have any lead?

I realized why there might be such an error. It could be the connector. I just connected the device to the computer in fastboot mode and bent the cable with the phone so that Windows notified about the connected device with a sound, and then frantically tried to run the file

that sounds like your bootloader is locked. you'll either need to boot into Android and go through the official unlock process. or find the hardware mod (usually involves taking the back off the phone) to enable EDL Mode). . .you can then flash the firmware in EDL mode (instead of fastboot mode)
