Do you own the OnePlus 6 or have you at least used it for any extended period of time? Or used any notched phone for that matter. And I don't mean holding one at the display counter at a store or playing on your friends. Most people who hate the notch so desperately have never even used one. The build quality of the op6 is amazing and after one day using the phone the notch just blends in with the rest of the screen.

The 6 only makes sense for users upgrading from the op3/3t or older models. The 5 and 5t is still good for atleast till the 7 comes out.

I have a 5T and I love it, but I don't see myself buying another OP phone till they get some kind of compatibility with Verizon. GSM just doesn't have the coverage that I need in the field.

There are a lot of places that I go where Verizon doesn't work and AT&T is the only game in town. The only thing I am sure of is that T-Mobile and Sprint have poor coverage compared to Verizon or AT&T.

Something not mentioned is that the OnePlus 5T offers fingerprint gestures while the OnePlus 6 does not. You can use an app like fingerprint gestures to add gestures to the fingerprint scanner on the 5T (left and right), or use the default swipe down/up for expand/collapse notification shade.

Why One plus had released the 6 so soon is beyond me. The OnePlus 5t should've been the cemented flagship of OnePlus for years to come. I love mine, it will last me a good 3-4 years and even then more so, but if I do end up wanting an upgrade down the road, it's gonna be from OnePlus.

Seeing a lot of biased comments here. So let me sum it up for you: If you already have the 5T then there is no need to buy the 6. But if you are trying to upgrade from an older phone or are trying to switch to a OnePlus device from another brand then just go the OnePlus 6. It's better.

Yes, the fact that it has OIS makes it worth it. Shots on the OP 6 are far better in clarity than the 5t. I also love the new screen, the notch doesn't bother me at all. Battery life will be the same though, camera is a big deal to me and not having OIS equals trash low light shots.

Hope someone can help. I got tired of my samsung S8 (and screen is cracked). I'm debating between the 5t or 6t. There's about a $50 difference between them. The choice for me i guess is the headphone jack. I'm usually on the road and barely use bluetooth. I tend to charge and have headphones on at the same time. Is the 6t worth buying over the 5t?

6t since display is larger and camera is better as well will be supported even longer than the 5t at this point especially if its your main phone. Battery is larger which should outweigh the lack of headphone jack concern

Hi there. +Android Police. I would like to ask You a question because I had the same problem with both of them :(. I started to hear on 5T a buzzing/electronic noise that comes from the earpiece. I have found that You can hear this sound through the back panel as well, especially when the WIFI is turned on. I have reached a point where they had to refund the price of the 5T. After some research (one of them being Your videos referring OP6), I have decided to buy OP6 over LG G7 or Mate 10 Pro. But I have found that OP6 does this buzzing/electronic sound as well. :( The best way to hear it is to be in a quiet room (at night) and have the WIFI turned on. It's not so clear at OP6 (maybe due to the glass back), but it is still audible, especially in phone calls. :( So, my questions for You is: do You hear this sound as well? Are there other flagships or lower-end phones that make some kind of sound? I know there are electronics inside and they might make a noise, but when this noise is so loud that You can hear it when You speak to another person during phone calls, I think it starts to matter :( I hope I will not ruin Your experience with 5T or 6 if You do hear the sound :( What is your take on this?

In one word: NO. My brother recently bought his OnePlus 6, and honestly, besides the camera? There isn't much to it. Yes, aesthetically the OP6 looks gorgeous. The glass back and that beautiful red color, it just makes you feel like you are holding a premium product in your hand. The OP5T isn't bad, but when you compare it to how the OP6 feels in your hand, it's quiet far apart. As the trend continues, the price gap between the OP6 and flagship phones from top Tier brands are coming closer than ever. And unfortunately that trend has affected their price as well. From where I am the OnePlus 6 costs about $650! That's the same as a 128GB Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus! It wasn't really a choice for me when it came to which phone I had to upgrade to once I did use my brothers phone. The S9 Plus has a better display, a much better camera, better support for hardware, easier to find parts to fix the phone and most of all, an amazing customer service team who made me feel like I was taken care off. And even at the $580, the phone doesn't make sense anymore. A 70$ price difference just doesn't cut it for OnePlus in this day and age. Maybe if they were to enhance their screen and what not, maybe. But as of now, it's nothing but a disappointment of hardware features.

My 5t got slower after the pie update. The fingerprint scanner is inaccurate which makes it a little bit slower but enough to notice.
