Been there... Was very windy and couldn't get our passports back to leave until 30 min before boat was to leave... Big hassle.. Always make sure you have plenty of fuel and water on board.... I would always carry a spare small full bottle of gas with me while on the road... Just in case... And you never know someone else might be low on fuel... It is always nice when you can help someone else out when in need...

That's correct for the fuels, you should have plenty, but not carry bottles! :)

A small plastic bottle won't hurt.. Maybe a pint is all you might need... I've done it with no problem...

Go as far south as you can for the warmth... Naxos has some great beaches.... Best time to travel is late in May... Prices are still good...
