@mobrown11987 ай бұрын
@@na_knah. The recently retired still young players. Nobody hates on the future generations more than the current generation. The entire culture is built on tearing down. Aside from Barkley, whose takes and criticisms are often spot on correct. Even Lebron and Draymond hate on the younger upcoming guys more than Barkley, and Shaq hates on all big men who don’t play like he does… except Bol Bol who he glazes relentlessly. The older generations have always given back to the game, have always paid homage to the history and gave the younger generation the insights and the insider knowledge to expound upon that. I really need younger generations to get out of their feelings and pay attention to who really “hates”who really tears down. Kendrick Perkins, JJ Reddick or any of these media talking heads aren’t OG’s. The TNT crew is different, they are paid analysts and are in that spot to offer critical analysis. They aren’t in mentor roles. Far different from a retired OG who still gives his time and input to help younger players. The NBA for decades had programs and mentors for young players, that went away when player empowerment was ushered in, new CBA, the old guard was out, as was many of the OG’s who were in place to assist younger players. Pay close attention to who’s hating. It ain’t the OG’s nah. It’s many of the recently retired. In their defense, most of them criticize the game itself. (Rule changes) and the effort of the players on defense, and how the competitive nature of the game is gone. Also it’s the younger generation that started the narratives about the past generations, they weren’t prepared for the backlash. It is a softer league, society is softer and more sensitive…. participation trophy era, the if it ain’t glazing it’s hate generation ~ political correct, and respectability politics. Super sensitive generation.. the generation where the bare minimum deserves recognition. Nobody is hating. Life is unfair, and not everyone is going to like you. Cope .
