I just love the friendship between Andy and Bethenny, you can really see how much they care about each other!

There is something endearing about Andy, glad he gave Bethenny a break....maybe every franchise needs that one underdog who makes lemonade out of the lemons life has given her but quite frankly not that many ppl have her drive .

So nice to go back and watch this in 2019, as Andy DID find love again, and he and his partner just had a child 🙂❤️👍Never give up on love. It finds you when you least expect it.

The thing that I just dont get about the Bethenny show is...why wasnt it on Bravo? I feel like it would have been a success if it was on Bravo. Her most interesting interviews are the Bravolebrities anyway. Oh well.....

I never thought of that either, but I am guessing Bravo wasn't looking to do any more talk shows. They already had Andy's WWHL show, and during that same period they tried a talk show with Kathy Griffin (2012-2013) which I thought was great, but which apparently flopped. I also think Bethenny was eager to prove she could survive outside the Bravo-sphere. At that point in time, she really wanted to distance herself from the Housewives franchise. Ellen made her the offer, and Fox was the network that bought the show, so it landed there. Some things I think dogged the show: They said it wasn't going to be a typical talk show, but then they made it exactly that, with a couch and an audience; they didn't even have a dedicated kitchen for cooking segments, and her whole basis for fame was being a chef; the show focused on sex to an obnoxious degree, which was neither necessary, nor new; and despite Ellen's backing, there weren't many A-list guests and far too many guests from Bravo. Other people observed that she was caught between demographics, being too out-there for women in their 40s and too old to speak to women in their 20s. I couldn't understand why she pushed so hard for a talk show; it sounded like a misfit to me, and turned out to be that way when I saw the actual show. I felt she was out of her depth and awkward in that setting. The show format was just terrible. I thought maybe if they had had a show where she met one or two guests for lunch at a restaurant and just talked with them there, and then maybe had a cooking segment out of her own kitchen and a business segment from her office for the second half, it would have done better. The whole dog-and-pony routine with a couch and audience, with games and segments like "Would You Ever?" were just really hokey and cringe-worthy to me, and I've been a fan or hers for years.
