Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms

Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms

Күн бұрын

Our second Champion from the Oxventure crew from Outside Xbox and Outside Xtra brings a tremendously insecure rogue who hides his self-consciousness both figuratively and literally! It was a delight to work with Andy Farrant to bring Corazón's fast-talking, sneak attacking, Grease loving rogue to life in our game.
Corazón likes to avoid getting his hands dirty and prefers to focus on increasing the damage of his fellow Champions rather than having to do all the attacking himself. To make that easier, his Pirate's Code increases the damage of all Neutral (along with the Good/Evil spectrum) Champions, and Honorary Crewmates lets him add the Neutral tag to anyone who is adjacent. His Specializations Distant Crewmates changes the way Honorary Crewmates works to affect non-adjacent Champions instead of adjacent ones, and Mage Hand modifies Grease to drop puddles on the enemy furthest from the formation instead of the ones he attacks. When the field is filled with pools of Grease, Corazón uses his ultimate Fiery Bombardment to set them alight.

I always see it as a part of Corazon's character. He thinks he's the leader and acts with "main character" energy. But obviously it's best for the group if Andy or one of the other Oxventurers reins that in.

Egbert chose the Ancients subclass, which is the paladin which makes an oath to nature! It basically makes you a druid paladin. I think mike probably read the word "ancients" and thought "yeah that fits!" without particularly reading much about what the subclass revolves around. Thats why he shares so many spells with merilwen: its because hes basically half druid!
@jonbrookes9434
@jonbrookes9434 3 жыл бұрын
i often think they should do some retcons - Egbert to Oath of Redemption, Corazon to full Swashbuckler (three rings of spell storing for his spells, typical Corazon thinks its him being magic, not the rings), Dob to Collage of Eloquence, as he does way more talking than anyone, he will benefit loads more than being Valor.

Definately correct about failure being fun. Our DM has Crit Success/Failure decks that he draws from to enhance the experience. This lead to not only me tracking the occurrences of 1s and 20s each session but also everyone being excited about crits, regardless of who gets the crit and what kind it is.

Loved hearing from Andy and Jane on their character development and arcs and what went into working with ICofFR. So interesting - it's like In the Actor's Studio. :)

there are times I think Luke is either borderline problematic with that, or is just johnny's favourite as he can do so much more in a turn or "day" than anyone else. However, when his plan isn't followed, or his gimmick isn't used, he does get very withdrawn. don't get me wrong, Oxbox is very fun to watch, but like any sitcom, sometimes it goes off the boil.
