Took a few seconds to keep up with how fast Andy talks but once I did it was great. That man's got more stories in him. I'm going to try to find his children's books, love that kind of thing. Never would have known anything about him without this podcast. Great job as usual Cammie and Iona!

Andy is a wealth of knowledge and stories. He's a fast talker but luckily for my ear he doesn't have a strong accent. Enjoyed the podcast.

I don’t eat lamb from the middle of February to the end of may jn because I can’t abide the smell of it cooking, but I make up for it the next few months because barbecued lamb chops are irresistible.

Not to be a smartass but seems that the local witch or a woman who was deemed a witch was blamed 500 years ago for too much rain or not enough That to be said farmers typically have not had the power to defend themselves against environmental damage Bad farming techniques cause problems but industry holds a bigger responsibility than farmers Now factory farming because it is on a large scale with a profit focus not a lifestyle or legacy purpose

Is there a description of Scottish 'burds'? It'll be interesting if Cammy or Iona mention this in future podcasts as I always thought girls/ladies were referred to as lasses in Scotland? 🙂

Aye, we use 'Lassies' and 'Burds'. And we'd say 'Hen' or 'doll' as a pet name.
