To correct some errors in this video, Robin's daughter, Snow was the result of an "affair" with the housemaid for Robin and Dwina. Apparently they had an "open marriage", but when the housemaid announced she was pregnant, Dwina went thru the ceiling and forced her to move out of their mansion. Robin financially set up the mother and daughter Snow for life.

I didn't realize Andy Gibb had a daughter. God bless her. I'm glad she reconnected with her father's family to fit those pieces of her family puzzle. I loved his music as a young teenager. Yes I did know that Andy Gibb died young. I began listening to The Bee Gees music in my teens and soon after I was listening to Andy Gibbs music as well. I didn't realize back then that those wonderful carefree days were coming to a close. I was growing up and life is never as kind to older people as it is to the young. I miss Andy still even now. RIP Andy, Maurice and Robin. You're missed very much.

For those who were not yet born or had no experience of the 80s, I can fill in what it was like. I was in my late 20s. Through friends of my husband, yes, it was very common to marry young as I was only 23, I secured a job in the record business. The pace of that life was so very fast that it was almost necessary to have help in the form of drugs. Concert nights lasted well into the early morning hours having begun midday at load-in time. I was expected to be in the office at 8AM sharp each day. Show dates included. Cocaine was everywhere combined with downers to help us get at least a few hours sleep after a show. If you attended a party, instead of the normal hor'dourves there were plates of coke. It was plentiful and available. I can't imagine what Andy's real life was like. Being bipolar, depressed and in a business were money was king, no matter what the cost to the artist. We lost so many bright, talented musicians back then. I do feel sorry for his daughter growing up watching her dad on TV yet never feeling his presence.The kids of these mad times suffered the most.

@@FactsVerse To be honest, I liked most of his songs. They had good rhythm, that disco beat. He was up against artists such as meteoric Fleetwood Mac. Andy’s songs seemed uncool in comparison. They were rock musicians. He was a pretty faced pop singer. He had the popularity of his brothers behind him which, combined with his good looks, made him a star. If you liked the talented Bee Gees you like little bro. He just wasn’t cool enough to go up against the rock girls and boys. As an aside, I was at a wedding in upstate NY where I’d met a nice guy, a friend of the groom. He told me he was an actor and was so excited to be in a movie coming out. It was about disco which was the rage. The movie was Saturday Night Fever. His name was Joe Cali. Boom! No longer unknown. That disco beat also sent Andy into stardom mostly due to the quality of the music of his brothers. Sorry for the novella!!

Super greats, such as Prince, discovered early-ish how labels control your career. So, he began his own label. Many a manager and accountant managed to deplete your earnings in fees or outright lies. It’s more difficult to do so many dishonest things now.

Yes I knew Andy died young, I have all his albums and I also know of Peta. After he died there was an article about Peta and her mother and the relationship with Andy. I wasn't surprised there wasn't a will because I don't feel that Andy believed he would pass so young. Unfortunately, many people don't have wills, you just don't think it's so important when life is going along normally. Andy was extremely talented and history shows that his brothers, especially Barry supported him as much as they could. A great deal of Andy's great music was written in collaboration with his brother/s or by them, so they certainly did as much as they could to support his career. At the end of the day, Andy was a grown man living his LA life and what happened was a part of that. It's sad he died so tragically young, but when you consider that Mo/Maurice was only 53 yo when he passed. He was young as well.

Andy went bankrupt in 1987, so he had to sell anything of value that he possessed, but Peta did receive royalties from the sale of her father's music. All of his records were out-of-print when he died, but they have been re-issued and there are three best of cds and the Mythology 4-record set which includes songs written by Andy.

If you asked Andy he would say that his heartbreak over his relationship with Victoria Principal that started his downward spiral. He WAS using before her but that’s really what broke him. He was so beautiful. My favorite song was “don’t throw it all away our love” I don’t think that’s the title but I love that song. RIP ❤

I feel confidant that the Bee Gees would have provided and taken care of Andy's daughter in his absence. The brothers were all very close and that's what family does. Andy had a lot of insecurities. He would have been much better off if he had joined the Bee Gees.

That's what he always wanted. Barry steered him to go solo. I guess Barry though it was the right career move for all of them. It is something I'm sure the group has thought about the what ifs a lot. I think Andy really wanted to be included with his brothers. What they already had worked though. Andy on his own worked too, and Barry encouraged and helped him to a great start, but he was their brother and family feelings and family insecurities run deep. It's not always about fame, but it's easy to see that the BEE GEES entity itself was to come first at personal cost. I don't think they considered how personal the cost would be. Did they think that Andy was too high strung and too much of a chance to take? It wasn't because he wasn't wonderfully talented and beautiful. He WAS!

Peta was born in the US but raised in Australia. As an American citizen, she would have been eligible for social security death benefits. What that monthly check amounted to is anyone's guess considering Andy made a lot of money from the first 5 years of his American recording career and was financially troubled for the last five years.

First of all I am very, very good friends with the Barry Gibb family & have been for years. Second of all Andy had an underlying heart problem from birth that no one knew about. Granted to say the cocaine you did not help out his health nor his heart problem. Third, Peta's uncle Barry who was Andy's oldest brother made sure that Peta didn't go without. Barry made sure that Peter and her mother received the royalties from the sales of any Andy's songs. Fourth, Andy was NEVER a "Bee Gee". He was one of The Brothers Gibb but never a Bee Gee. Anyone who is going to write something about or make a video having to do with anyone in the Gibb family they should do their research so that they get everything correct.

I noticed a number of errors in this little documentary, as well. Others have mentioned some of them, but two whoppers are that Peta was born in the US (she was born in Australia) and that she met him a number of times (met him once). One interesting tidbit was that Andy was bipolar. Never read or saw this observation made, but I've wondered about it myself. His mood swings seemed too extreme and inappropriate - he was depressed when there was nothing to be depressed about. Do you know? The possibility of a underlying heart problem was raised in the Reelz documentary about Andy's death. It was speculated that he had a twisted intestine. Both Maurice and Robin did. Maurice died of a heart attacked caused by it, but Robin's was surgically corrected in time.

I knew Andy very well in Miami, he dated my roommate in 86/87. He did cocaine with us on numerous occasion s, he was broke, driving around Miami in a borrowed car from a friend. It was so sad to see his life spiral out of control but he was past helping…. RIP Andy 🌹

Andy died in 1988, not 1998. I was at a national competition with a group from my high school and I clearly remember hearing the news. I didn’t know he dated ONJ. I just remember Victoria Principal. He is sorely missed!

I had posters and was a fan club member of both Andy and The Bee Gees back in the day. Love them still. Just a couple of corrections . First it was said Andy died in 1998 but actually was 1988. Second when saying she sang with Steven, Spencer and Samantha , they weren’t all Barry’s kids. Only Steven. Spencer via Robin and Samantha via Maurice. 2:41

Good Morning. I remember when Andy passed. I was in high school and many were shocked and sadden. I learned from an article that Andy was married but it was his management team and executives at his label who urged Andy to keep his marriage private due to him being a young hearthrob and sex symbol. He did visit his daughter only once a year or 2 after she was born.His ex-wife gave him an ultamatium as well. He did speak to his daughter on the phone and during the last years of his life, Barry who he was close with had him move into his Miami home, gave him a small weekly allowance and urged him to get his life together. After he cleaned up he did contact his ex-wife and wanted to spend time with his daughter during the Christmas holiday. She told him that she can spend the summer with him. Andy had returned to London to work on his comeback album but he relapsed and began to drink and Maurice had tried to tell their mom she needed to stop babying him, but she took the next flight to London the following day, told him to stop drinking and spent time with him on his birthday A day or so later he was having chest pains and was rushed to the hospital where he died due to the doctors in London being unaware of his history with drugs.
