incredible stuff Mr James .. what does that petrucci style lick at 2:45 consist of scale wise does anyone know? , its been bugging me for many years. never been able to find a lesson on this particular technique anywhere.. probably due to the fact i have no idea what to search for??.

Hey man, sup? It's just a normal scale (or can be a pentatonic haha), I'll try to explain how to do this: B ---10/12--------12/10-------10/8 E ---------------15-------------12--------10 ... This lick is like, u go forward 1T interval on a lower string, and then u pick a higher note on intervals of 5ths/6m (JP often use this ones, but can be any other interval... The style is just this "up and down" sound...
