I have just been going through this book. Martino acts like he's the first author to highlight the importance of Bill Livesey and the scouts in building the 90s Dynasty but this requires ignoring Bill Pennington's book "Chumps to Champs" on the rebuilding of the Yankees that went into this in MUCH greater detail. And you won't find a single negative thing about some of Cashman's most bizarre moves over the years that cost the Yankees dearly. The name "Kei Igawa" is nowhere to be found in the book and the only time the name "Carl Pavano" is mentioned its not in the context of his disastrous stint as a Yankee. I searched in vain for an explanation of what possessed Cashman to think he could win in 2017 with Sonny Gray instead of Justin Verlander, but alas Sonny is MIA in this book too. In short, this book is the Cashman whitewash on all levels.
