love these books. I have them. Heard a few negative comments about narrator when I listened to Firewall. Can't see what they are on about. If you read a book you put voices on in your head. You imagine what you think they sound like. For me this narrator is ace because he narrates and sounds similar to how I imagine he would sound. Why would you want a prim and proper narrator for a first person story? Makes it seem you are listening to "Nick" explain it to you. Brilliant love it!!!

I so appreciate the sensible story-telling, without being padded out with emotional behaviour, and constant guilt angst, or self-justification. Other authors could learn a lot from him. Along with an unhindered and unemotional evaluation of entities such as PIRA. Thank you Soldier for some brave words, not often spoken.

I have almost all the books on USB drive. Let me know if you want them. I could do it for cost of USB Drive and shipping. Unless I could figure how to email them ?

Yeeeeesh the only problem with this is, the second Nick sets foot in Kev's house ready to give those gifts to the kids, from that point on, you cannot stop listening for the next 3 hours. I was trying to listen to this to help with going to sleep... LOL that was a mistake! I was staring at the ceiling listening with bated breath.

About 4.30.00 in Pat gives Nick his saving account card Once he leaves he goes to an ATM and draws out $300 But at no point did Pat tell him the PIN number .. unless this gets rectified later on .!! Still a great listen .!!! N1
@cacambo5893 жыл бұрын
Pat told Nick the number but the narrative didn't tell you because it's fun to assume certain things.

@@DaveSCameron ok I guess I just can't follow it. I grew up reading hardy boys and mystery books and continued into adult fiction mysteries. I guess the rhythm or pattern of how they are written is different

@@thecarguy4304 Hey nice comment and that's quite likely, I still struggle with many books and modern novels are trying to make a unique statement that often doesn't pay off but if I could encourage you to maybe reread the first chapter a couple of times because it's always helped me, best wishes 👌📚

Andy McNab is a lier

It’s not a documentary it’s fiction which includes historical information. A cross between a novel and a series of PowerPoint bullet points. It lacks the style to be considered actual literature.

I suspect you mean "liar". He is indeed a liar but this is fiction. McNab is a certified psychopath. Read the books by Professor Kevin Dutton and Andy McNab himself. (The Good Psychopath's Guide to Success among others)
