Chiefs need to be able to run the ball in the AFC Championship game. So, they need Humphries in there. Caliendo isn't a good run blocker. So, you have to play DJ NOW, to kick off more rust. They aren't playing to beat the Texans. They are playing the long game, to win the SB.

We need more chiefs channels. Shows with host who don’t really keep up with the teams are very obvious. There was so much he could’ve said about DJ especially when mentioning the DEN game. Literally the best pass rush with the best rusher going against a player who has barely played 2 games after missing a year. Also with a OL full of nothing but backups. Thuney at LG also improves the LT position as long as the LT position isn’t straight crap

Did you watch the all 22 film? DJ actually didn't do to0 bad that game. Didn't do great, but also didn't play bad. Gotta give the guy a chance. Not enough on film to say this is bad news.

Thiney wasnt all world at LT. He was ok. They had a game plan that helped Thuney big time. DJ also played ok. But then you gain an all world LG back at his natural position. Its the best choice

Our run game will be better with Thuney at Guard. They can always shift him over if they have to. Humphries has a few more weeks under coaching and practices. Also Mahomes has been getting the ball out a lot quicker. So combination of all that it should be fine. We need to be able to pound the rock and this should allow them to do it. Yes trust Reid. He will NOT get smoked again like the Bucs did in the super bowl. It will be good.

So it's a good thing that the best quarterback in the world is reduced to dinking and dunking little short passes instead of having time to survey the defense and deliver the ball downfield? The pass blocking is reducing Mahomes to running a high school passing game. Apparently that's what some people think is needed.

KC just played Houston a month ago and carved their defense up because Mahomes got the ball out quick to negate their pass rush. Run the ball and quick pass game negates an elite pass rush.

Are we comparing Herbert to Mahomes now? That Texans-Chiefs game was 17-16 at the end of the third quarter and 24-19 late. We were plus-2 in turnovers. It wasn't like we pummeled them. I don't understand why the Chiefs would play to emphasize a running game that other than the QB is averaging 3.6-3.7 yards per carry instead of maximizing pass protection for the league's best QB. It's self-inflicted disarmament to turn Mahomes into a game manager.

DJ Humphries will be just fine at LT … the running game will be much improved with Thuney back at LG. The improved running game will somewhat slow up the outside rush and with a little help from a RB and/or TE chipping along with MVPatrick releasing the ball < 2.5 seconds … all should be good!

When did the run game become the strength of the Chiefs offense and not Mahomes passing the ball? We could have the 1995 Cowboys offensive line run blocking for Pacheco and Hunt and if Mahomes was getting hammered every time he held the ball for more than 2 seconds we would be in trouble. Get Mahomes hurt in the first two series and the season is over if Wentz is able to hand the ball to Emmitt Smith and Walter Payton, much less Pacheco and Hunt.
