It's more that way than ever before, with the salary cap and what franchise QBs are getting paid. You have to turn your team over a lot faster, nowadays. Young guys have to get out there and contribute. Chiefs have a lot of moving parts every offseason. They're busy 'becoming' a playoff team every season. They're in more flux than a lot of teams, but they manage the chaos and have great core players who stick around. It still looks like they're on a trajectory to play their best down the stretch. There's a lot more up-side in this year's WR group than there was last year or the year before. They're a bit thin at CB, but Josh Williams shows signs of playing closer to his potential, now that everybody ahead of him either got hurt or was struggling. I think having Williams and Watson was what decided KC to trade L'Jarius, but they were hoping it wouldn't be down to just Williams, although he performs well once he starts getting playing time. He'll still get burned a time or two, but look for him to come up big in the clutch. Physically, he's probably the best CB they've got, if he cuts out his mistakes. I kind of want them to coast a little. Keep those big guys fresh. Learn to play with more backups on the field, and save your starters' legs.
