The switch in the middle of the trailer is so jarring, wtf XD I have seen the show but not the trailer before. And finally a series with Gun. I am happy that you are starting with this one because Gun is one of if not the best actor GMMTV has on their payroll, but most of the BL rolls he plays are pretty light hearted you don't really get to see him in full action.

One of my favourites, Not Me. It's a hell of a ride. A mystery thriller with a lot of romance as cherry on the top. It talks about politics, revenge, fight for justice, social inequality, law, LGBTQ+. Have watched this series over and over again, a masterpiece it is.

I watched "not me" twice. So much to discover the second time. You are mistaken, if you think, the series starts violent and continues being smooth very quickly (as you said in your reaction). It takes 8 episodes until romantic actions happen and the revolution and crime never stops....hold your breath.... My opinion...one of the best Bl series ever. Revolution, crime, love, heartache....

Oh my god!!!! Not Me is one of those shows that redefined what stories a BL could tell. My all time favourite moment in any QL show happens in Not Me (IFYYK). It is my dream each year when we see GMMTV do their annual trailer drops to see the director of Not Me back on their roster but it hasn't happened so far. I remember at one point we the fans were legitimately worried the show would be yanked off the air because of its political rhetoric. God I love this show so much!!!!!!!!!! ❤♥❤♥❤♥

Not me might be misleading if we rely on the trailor.. infact the pilot trailer was completely down and different. But the series really got the taste and was actually a very hyped topic because the very same time Thailand was going through the issues and mass protests which the series raised when airing.

YES ATOTS is a classic and EarthMix are one of my favorite BL pairs ever, their chemistry is insane. it's a really good series for people new to BL as well. no crazy NC scenes right off the bat, really solid, emotional plot, just 1 couple to focus on. it's got a structure like most straight series have, but even better imo. and it's not just about romance, which is something i personally really like, kinda like how Not Me isn't just about romance.

For 1000 stars, it's on my watchlist, I wanna binge watch but every time I decide to watch it, some work comes up. 😅 But yesss, I like bls that don't just focus on steamy scenes and googly eyes. That is why I haven't watched any popular ones these days, coz there is no story and just 18+ scenes and then they get popular. "My Stand -in" is the only one I am considering to watch from this year coz the story sounds unique. Oh btw, love your user name. And I saw the groups you stan, amazing taste! I stan Got7 but I listen to all the groups mentioned haha. I barely see 3rd gen k-pop stans these days.

I would say Not Me had far less funding than other BLs from GMMTV in general due to a few reasons: P'Nuchy (director) is a (trans) woman and this was her first work directing in GMMTV - This is despite her being a very well known and lauded individual in the film community This show is extremely politically driven and controversial - As such recieved less promotion despite being one of the best performing shows of its time and to this day Their funding affected quite a bit in the story: - P'Nuchy only had 2/3 handheld cameras to film with - Their motorcycle rental time ran out and they didn't have time to renew this - They had to reuse cars and use the car of a staff member Despite this Not Me did super well in terms of trending and impact, pushing for change in Thailand through every episode created.

I'm not going to sit here and tell you that there are a ton of good BL series out there, but THIS ONE, is actually amazing, one of those rare occasional jewels, and I hate that the trailer doesn't do justice to the soundtrack, which is actually one of the best I've seen in a Thai BL And believe me when I say I have sat through hours and hours of sh**ty Bl series, so I know my BL garbage fairly well😂.
