If I saw Andy Summers on the streets of NYC I'd thank him so much for all he has given to the enjoyment and even blueprint for my life.

1979. I was a senior in high school. A new English teacher who looks like a million $. She sensed our little curious minds. She does not need to work, but love to teach, said she. Mrs Brody also added that her husband is an executive at A&M records. He’s promoting a new band from England & would like for us to support this new band. She proceeded to pass out promotional stickers to each of us. “Support the Police”. Thus, our first glimpse into this amazing band. She was also an excellent teacher-she’d inspired me to become an avid reader of 📚. Interestingly, I ran into her at a supermarket 20 years later(still looking like a million $), I told her she’d a profound impact on me & appreciated her tutelage. She was touched. Thank you Andy for your passion for 🎸📸 & humanity. ✌🏼& 📸

the cinematography in this was really lovely. apt. I have Andy's 1st book of photos, Throb, autographed. met him twice. nice bloke. and one of the most important guitarists ever. probably the most influential guitarist of the 80s, I don't think anyone else deserves that title. EVH started in the late 70s to make his mark, once the Police broke, everyone was using a chorus pedal, and lush chords, and or reggae influence.

Andy's the real deal, not a celebrity with a camera, his photography is sublime, genuine and worthy of the recognition it receives.

I was lucky to meet Andy when his tour came through Louisville, KY in the 90s. I was smart enough to bring my camera to get a picture with him and he signed my Telecaster pick guard.

After your 79 show at Disney in Florida, I begged my parents for a camera. They came through big that Christmas. Forty five some years on now with broadcast and film, I have little gold statues on the shelf and friends all over the globe. Your career helped start mine. I can’t say thank you enough.

Hoping to see a 50th anniversary exhibition in 2028 along with a 6 album anthology and hopefully new vintage film footage from Stewart. The 50th anniversary is incredibly important by which time fingers crossed Andy will finally have a much deserved credit for Every Breath You Take

Tales from Bournemouth. Tales from Two Puddings in Statford, Newham and millions of selfies. You like the intense experience of the box which surrounds us all. People carry cameras everywhere nowadays. Option paralysis isn’t something you’re used to with a camera. The title reminds one of 10CC and a lyric Art for art’s sake, money for God’s sake. Always wondered when you first crossed paths with the young prodigy Graham Gouldman. Took ages to get used to the scents in NYC in the summer. Hello from the Tsleil-Waututh Nation 2006 watching since first time at The Commodore Ballroom

I guess you had to go to NYC to avoid the temptation to take vintage photos of the Santa Monica coastline after the firestorm. No houses left, just fireproof brick chimneys and fireproof metal stairways to the sky, remain. Andy is a refreshing break from Stew and Sting. I wish he would do photography of that from his shoes.

Leica’s are the best, and in the right hands make magic, the Leica “glow”. Same with Fender Teles and Strats. The Leica M’s are pricey buggers, so I settled on a lesser Leica model but I love it and it does produce the “glow”, but not like the M’s.
