Such control with the guitar is something that comes from the person itself his choice of notes can be replicated but not how he feels about playing it, every performance is different and you can tell Andy feels it this way too

I used to love when my band played The Rock in Dallas. After...i'd go across to Blue Cat Blues and catch Andy play. Unvelievable that he was playing across the street from the hole I was singing in. Not a normal occurrence in my life.

This song starts off very similar to a Jonny Lang song that came out on his most recent recording called "Long time comming" its one of the later tracks on his record. Both Jonny, and Andy are such good Guitarist's!!!!

The tone was still there while playing this Alder body w/ Maple fingerboard modeled Ibanez. There is something in the "Its all in the hands" cliche. Although he did mention that he likes the Xotic BB Preamp because it gives the gain with out the buzz. He uses 10 gauge strings so that he can dig in w/out breaking as often as 9's or 8's would. If I remember correctly, he also like to use a touch of delay often.

I did take a look at the settings for the BB Preamp and the Mesa Boogie LoneStar: The BB gain was set at about 12:00 along with the Lone Star.
