You've done an amazing job, at encapsulating us into this era. This was always an interesting point of time for me, Lou Reed, Velvet Underground, and the feeling of "expression." You can tell, this came out of the Beatnik culture, and formed into it's own little culture immediately. Not many people would focus on the Amphetamine/Methamphetamine aspect, as it used to offend people (because they used to do those drugs) - now in today's society, we see that it was very crucial in the "mental health" aspects, that we often overlooked for decades. This modern era, of perspective, will help us look back at these times with more of an understanding socially.

He( Andy Warhol) and those associated with him were quite the fascination at the time in the 60's in particular and continue to be. In a documentary about him I viewed a few months back apparently/supposedly the Warhol name change came from a typo credit that he liked and kept. He certainly was productivity obsessed( hence the drugs). He may have been "on the spectrum" as well. I had a time years ago ( with Deitch Projects in NYC) being involved in a capacity with some who knew Mr Warhol and/or were inspired by him. Thanks!

I've been a huge fan of Warhol and all pop artists from that era. The one thing I never did was enjoy their art for the quirky and bizarre nature of the individual artist. The image they create with their art and not the image they create with their lifestyle is where my appreciation came from. To me, it's about the image and what I see and feel and not what the artist thinks or wants or expects me to feel and think. Art is a very personal journey not only for the creator but the viewer as well.
