It seems you had a bit of trouble with your recording booth, I see what you were trying to do and I will autocorrect it for you...here is a...soundproof floor! I swear Andy, I think I could listen to you read or explain anything...you just have that voice. I love it!

Nice job. My house is on a raised foundation and I need something like this to keep sound transmission to a minimum. However, gonna be tricky because my booth is a diamond shape.

Let's be honest, mostly everyone will need this! :O

I agree. Even if you're not building a booth, I think you need a plinth.

That's one heck of a solid floor! How did you calculate how many of the rubber pads to use so you don't over/under compress them and get the maximum effect?
@AndyFieldVoiceActor3 жыл бұрын
Good question George! I did not. I've since realized there's probably some mathematics in it, likely involving the TYPE of rubber as well.

Who do we call to come soundproof a room?
@SeamlessFab17 күн бұрын
I built one. Get ready to spend a ton of money to do it correctly.. Don’t let anyone talk you into the Green Glue layer between sheet rock. Green Glue’s actual claims are transferring sound waves into heat because the caulking stays elastic. This is of course massively misleading.. All elastic caulks that stay elastic do this. Red Devil is one.. Use sound clips, decoupled walls with hat/ furring channel and add Mass. (Mass loaded vinyl) 2lb preferrably. Sandwiched between two layers of 5/8 drywall. Green Glue Sealant( a different product than the layer product) can be used on any seams or corners. Studs should be staggered and a door sweep is critical. Door jamb should also be lined with MLV. Door should be Solid core. I run loud machinery in a home shop and it’s practically dead silent when I shut the door.
