Yes, the Lava Me Play offers a few distortion effects, as well as flanger, delays, reverb, tremolo, etc. Additional onboard features that don’t require using the app include drums, metronome, lessons, looper, backing tracks and an active online community. I like the feel of the Air, but I’m not sure I want to give up all the stuff that’s prepackaged in the Play or the Lava Me 4 Carbon.
