Thomas Robinson is a bust. Played only a half season with the Kings and was traded midseason in his rookie year. Good player but mostly rely on athleticism. Can't defend and can't shoot. Picking Lillard was the best option that the Kings should do even if Lillard was already 22 at that time.

Boogie Cousins was on his way to being one of the best big men of his generation. It's a shame that injuries made him a shell of his former self because he was on his way to a first ballot HOF career. Also if he'd have stayed in Denver and played just one more season, he would have had a ring. Because just playing 14 mins a game for them he was averaging nearly ten points and five and a half rebounds.

@@antisious Lin was healthy when he was removed from New York for whatever reason (not gonna blame a specific person but the environment was surely not ok) and then whichever team he went to, didn't need him to be anything more than a roleplayer. Injuries happened later when he was finally the guy in Brooklyn. Cousins spent his entire career in Sacramento. If he was on a capable team then maybe he never gets that badly injured or at least makes the playoffs.

@@daanishgupta he was healthy but he was a no name basically till linsanity and that only lasted a month. Then he went to Houston but pat bev took his spot. He never played at a all star level after linsanity and after a couple stints on a couple teams injuries kicked it and derailed his career. Sure he "won" a ring with Toronto but he was a none factor.

I still vividly remember someone on NBA TV saying that this was a good draft class, then following that up with the claim that the next draft would be very weak, while 2012 would be historically good. Almost impressive how one man could be so wrong in just a few seconds.

Bro, Monroe was a Bonafide starter for Milwaukee not a bench warmer. The hype was real when we signed him to replace Zaza pachulia, it was as big a name as we could ever imagine bringing on in our small market. Sanders had no beef with the coach, dude said he suffered from depression, so he signed a huge contract and then turned around and bailed on the team. He prolly threw jason Kidd under the bus many years later when he realized he needed more money and started lying about people. What a punk.

Also this was around the time that true center era was beginning to go. Now there are a lot of players who are PFs which could be playing center and with everybody wanting to score, centers who protect the rim are a dying art.

I really wish Hayward hadn’t’ve left Utah. We would never have seen that horrific leg injury for starters, he was a great fit for Utah’s system, and it would’ve been interesting to get to see him play with Mitchell. I was so disappointed when he left since it was that same draft offseason!

They wouldn’t have gotten Mitchell if Hayward left the whole point of them getting Mitchell was to replace Hayward and that’s exactly what they did.

Brooklyn Nets, then New Jersey Nets, having the worst record the previous season had 25% chance of winning the 2010 NBA Draft lottery. But ended up with the 3rd pick.

great video but I have to disagree with your take on John Wall. He has not lived up to the 1st pick. Maybe late lottery at best. He has played like 10 games in six years so I also don't believe he has bounced back. I agree if it wasn't for the injuries though.
