Yes Steve was a small man with a big heart. It was a pleasure to play with him many times and the rest of those Newbridge teams mates. Good times

This brings back some memories. I followed Newbridge home & away when I lived there from 88 to 99 and this is up there with the best games I saw (nearly as good as the 48-0 battering of Newport at Rodney Parade) and many beers were drunk after!!. I can still hear that crunch every time Steve Crandon went in for one of his usual full-blooded tackles. Thanks for sharing this

Superb performance that day. This was the best away victory I ever saw following the bridge in early 90's....not often (certainly away against pooler) we could chant 'easy easy''. Pooler were shell shocked that day..pleasure to be there and thanks for putting this up. RIP Steve Feally..fantastic player and tragic loss at such young age.

Newbridge' scrum half Steve Feally may have been small but punched well above his weight. Sad loss to all concerned when he died so young. 'bridge also had a big and uncompromising pack then who weren't afraid to go toe to toe with the likes of Pooler, Ponty and Neath. Thanks for post! PS Are you the same Andrew Sutton that played at lock for New bridge around this time?

Great memories. If my memory serves me well, wasn't prop Jon Rowlands a Christian Minister or lay preacher?

Proper grass roots stuff. Love the way the sub runs on after pulling up his socks. Don't get that these days.........😬
