I love this, the look in your eye at your older animations / flip books is EVERYTHING to another artist who wants to start up. Especially since I’ve been drawing for years but never wanted to consider doing it on a platform until three years ago. Inspirational. :)

Apart from the fact that they are far from being bad, I love how you care about your early projects and are proud of what you’ve done. A lot of artists underestimate their first creations, but those are the ones who led them to improvement and I can see how you know their importance to you career and life as an artist. Your videos are the best and I admire you a lot!

I am an aspiring animator, every time I watch one of your videos I want to just go and animate something. What you said at the end really resonated with me. Just keep trying every day. That’s what I’ll do. I’ve actually made quite a few stop motions that are on my channel but I really want to do drawing animation. I’m not that good at drawing animation yet. But I gotta keep trying 😁 Thank you for inspiring me! -Zoe

Andyman!! You are sooo great! 8:33 reminded me of this. Bit of background first. I just watched your Wonderfull visit Peter Lord. Delightfull!! He mentioned influences* from outside the UK. And not mentioned was NFB. National Film Board, Canada. (My home) Decades of animation viewable to one and all via their website. Okay, here’s what 8:33 The Fishing Line reminded me about. One of NFB’s short animations had a scene where a little kid was jumping up. The trick used was clear plexiglas blocks stacked taller and taller, elevating the kid. ( * forgot to mention Wind and the Willows animation tv series from Cosgrove&Hall are superb animations )

Hi, Andy. I’m Bob - seriously, that’s my name. I enjoy watching all that you create, and how it has improved over the years. Since I was a young Army Brat, one of my interests has been animation, stop motion, and motion technology. I guess that’s what got me into my career over the last 43+ years - broadcast television engineering. Last year, my wife gave me one of your flip book kits for Christmas. Love it, by the way. I am interested in what equipment and software you use. Particularly, I want to know about the camera, the stand/holder you use to keep your camera steady, and if you use Premier Pro for creating stop motion. I’m just a 60-something trying to find a creative outlet. Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Bob.
