After literally months & months of waiting, thanks to one of our regular viewers, Simon from the UK, we now have the ignition switch loom plug!! Remember, this plug had been cut off at some point in the past & some rubbish screw type connectors used to connect the old ignition switch wiring. Given a new ignition switch needed to be fitted it's only right to fit the correct plug too!!
So, big Thank You to Simon for helping out on tis part of the project, a huge help indeed. Parts supply in general has really become an issue with stock levels around the World becoming depleated & huge delays on international freight too. A project that was scheduled to take 3 to 4 months is now not far off a year!
Watch out for the next Episode in this epic Series ''CB750 K2 Back on the road'' - check our the other Episodes & find out how it all began!
Enjoy
Andy

Hi Andy . Sorry to drag you back in time . Was the new loom the same guage as original. My loom on k5 is 16 guage ,new one is a 12 guage. Will 12 guage handle a up date to newer coils ,reg / etc ,

Hi Jamie, I didn't buy a new loom, I just made up/replaced what was required. That's a huge problem with modern wiring harnesses, manufactures are reducing down the wire thickness to the bare minimum. Works okay when new but quickly degrades causing large voltage drops & electrical issues which cost to repair. Personally I'd much rather build my own loom than buy one that's not to original specs. Hope this helps Andy

Thanks for the video Andy! Really enjoy the channel I was curious as what kind of taps do you recommend for working on atv and bikes, I’m sure you got a video somewhere on that subject but I’ve had some bad luck with cheaper taps and am very curious what you use. Thanks🍻

honda bikes had 4 keys the first owner was given two and the dealer kept two. Andy why are the rats / mice called JOHN ?

That's incredible! The Dealer kept 2 keys! I can't see that working these days - some dealers struggle to keep the new bike stock keys safe! Ah....John is the generic name is have always used for: 1. The guy in the factory that did the task on the production line. 2. Animals or insects - usually ones that have annoyed me 3. A mechanic that I don't want to disclose his real name...unless his real name is actually John! So no reference to you at all! Sorry John :-) Cheers Andy
