This video reminds of the true story of a baker in a small Italian town. One day he pulls a random loaf of bread out out of his oven to discover that it had baked into the crust what looked like an image of the Virgin Mary. In his excitement, he ran into the street to show others this "miracle loaf". The town people also agreed that was a "miracle", a sign from God that such a Holy Loaf would suddenly appear in their humble little Italian town. So together they took it to the local Catholic church, where the parish priest was equally stunned, surprised and impressed that God would bestow upon them such miraculous image of The Blessed Virgin baked into the crust of a simple loaf of bread. The priest as well as the other town people who were so suddenly converted to this "Bread Cult" even built a special altar to house this "miracle loaf" in this local parish, and in coming months the town even organized Holy Processions that solemnly displayed for all, both far and wide, this sacred culinary image. In the end, however, this "miracle loaf" slowly disappeared, as any common loaf of bread would decay over time. In the end, the people in that small Italian town were only left with a pile of stale bread crumbs, and their memories of the day that The Lord blessed them with such a miraculous loaf of bread !!! . I was diagnosed with stage 3-4 cancer and told to do whatever I wanted to do in the next year or I may never be able to after that. I went on a Mediterranean Cruise that stopped at Ephesus and took in the tour to the House of Mary. It was at the house that I felt that everything would turn out alright. It is very peaceful, in a spiritual way inside the house. I drank the water from the spring and left a note with my intentions. That was in 2007 and I am still here. Thank you Mother Mary. It is a very moving experience there. The house is watched over by Christian and Muslim holy women. It is a holy site for all.

I had the good fortune of going there while I was stationed near Istanbul, Turkey during the years 1966-67. As I recall, there is a gushing spring of fresh water coming forth from the ground almost next to the house. I also became aware of a powerful presence, a palpable energy in the whole area around and in the house. It felt like a holy place to me.

Praying and drinking of the water I asked her for some personal blessing, all of which came to pass, it was truly an amazing experience one which in my opinion would say impossible, THANK YOU BLESSED MOTHER !

Myself and my wife visited the house and shrine a few years ago we entered and u felt peaceful as we exited the house I noticed my wife was crying and I teased her for it. She pointed to my face and tears streamed down it. I felt like my soul was squeezed. As if I felt terrible loss but great love. Magical experience

I drank from the well making a prayer to benefit me and thought it would never, ever come true since it was something I really hoped for personally. John wrote the Book of Revelation at Patmos about 95 AD. If he was the same John as the Apostle, son of Zebedee, which is contested by some scholars, than he was about 83 years old. In 95 AD, Mary the Mother of God, would have been about 115 years old. John the Apostle was in Ephesus earlier when he wrote the Gospel and 3 Epistles. He took care of St. Mary until she died most likely in Ephesus area. Some authors (Hyppolitus of Thebes) assumed she died and was taken to heaven in 41 AD, at the age of about 60. Is this the house were She lived and was taken to Heaven? There is no proof of it, but it is possible, even likely. Why do you think that St. Mary lived until 95 AD? I suggest to use brain reading the Bible.

I have visited here. Opposite is the archeological site of Ephesus visited by several of the Apostles and by St Paul. Gospels were written here in the great library. Paul visited to quell and stabilise the frequent fallings out amongst the Jewish, Gentile and pagan newly converted to Christianity. Mary’s traveled and lived in this area, taken by John and James after the crucifixion as Jerusalem had become an unsafe place for the followers of Jesus. What is so wonderful about this place is how the tiny church dedicated to the Holy Mother is revered and loved my many religions. I attended Mass there with Jews, Muslims Buddhist and pagans.

I was there some 12 years ago and I remember how the structure looked. I remember lots of Rosary sellers outside, and I did buy a bunch from them, as I was told there was a stream, or a torrent of running water, inside. I wanted to take the rosaries inside to dip them into the water, and have them blessed by the several priests that were outside, of Catholic and Eastern Orthodox faiths. I did all that so I could give them to my aunts in Italy and mom. One thing I am not seeing here but which I remember so clearly, was the terribly low entrances, so low that I had to almost crawl in. Indeed, I think I did crawl. I am not, per se, a religious person adhering to any one religion, but have taken the best of all the religions I have studied, put them together....but the Mother of Jesus, regardless of whether much of Her story, which we really do not know, is so important to the world and especially Western civilization, indeed wars ahve been fought over Her, I felt the want, the need to see this place and I did. I am just wondering why, here, the doorways, Lintels, are so different to that which I remember so clearly

@@vijayaraniroyappa2495 Hi. I believe that John the Apostle, who Jesus "gave" his Mother to from the cross is not the same John who wrote Revelations, the last book in the Bible. He was John, too...but a different John who had been exiled to the island of Patmos off what is today, Turkey, and dies, there. John the Apostle died a natural death in Ephesus, Turkey, and is buried there in a very Greek looking tomb amidst older ruins. It is lovely to see and emotional as he was the only one of the disciples to die a natural death. The other, who write Revelations, is called either John of Patmos or St. John the Divine.
