Andy is one of the few guitarists that upon hearing his music it's as if he is silently saying: "come on, pick up your guitar and play along with me...you can do this too." I know that sounds goofy and emotional, but what he does is so inspiring. I have arthritis in my fretting hand and I often feel like quitting and selling all of my stuff. When I listen to Andy play, I just wanna try to keep going. Thank you Andy

Andy is very underrated in my opinion. He keeps things melodic and lyrical and plays actual songs, not just some background music designed for a shred fest.

Many forget he played quite a few gigs with Shawn Lane ....he is fantastic .....Electric Gypsy to me is right up there with Cliffs of Dover ......Surfing with the Alien ....or For the Love of God......yet.....Andy has his own thing going ......massively dynamic player .....forget the fretboard wizardry in this vid and just watch how many times he works that volume knob 😲....smooth cat. Check out the stuff he did with Martin Miller as well ....killer 👍

Wow! He's got such incredible emotion in his playing. It's like David Gilmore, Steve Vai, and Stevie Ray Vaughn's DNA were somehow combined to create the most expressive, feeling guitar-player on the planet.

Anyone noticed at 1:19 how he quickly switches to the bridge pickup to sustain a note and give it a "Ngaah" kind of voice, and then back again to the neck pickup? Quite a trick you got there Andy!

I've been searching for a favorite guitarist since Randy Rhoads passing...listened to all of the greats...they always sound the same,take one song intertwine with the next,all the same tone,riffs... you can always tell,Satch,Vai,SRV,EVH.. they're GREAT...never change tone... you can always tell their playing...now Andy,his tone changes,and it's different,he gets it,change tones for different songs...new favorite guitarist...
