I love this story of the Pilgrims Progress. My mom read to us every night from the Bible and stories to encourage us which helped to build our faith in Jesus, she read us the paraphrased version of The Little Pilgrims Progress written by Helen Taylor, easy for children to understand, we could not wait for the next chapter, and I then read it to my children and grandchildren. Gods word is seed sown in our hearts, We shall know the truth, and the truth will set us free. We are living in the last days, but God is moving by His Spirit, moving all over the earth, signs and wonders when God moves, move oh Lord in me. Blessings from South Africa 🇿🇦

If you are interested in freedom from sin and how do we receive the Holy Spirit? read below. After God gave me the Holy Spirit, I found proof that TV, movies, novels, music, video games and computer games are all sins, except Christian stuff that don’t have sins like sermons and Christian music words that gives messages. I found out that in them there is lying, stealing, adultery (Matthew 5:28 looking at someone with lust is adultery), fornication which is sex before marriage, revenge, murder, jealousy, pride=self-pity, hypocrisy, using God’s name in vain as a curse word, they are all idols (breaks 2nd Commandment) because most people can’t live without them and they love them more than God and more. Just read the 10 commandments for a list. 1 John 2:15 King James Version (KJV) 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 New King James Version 9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. Now I will be preaching about how to receive the Holy Spirit and be 100% going to Heaven. First, it’s only by the grace of God that he gives you faith in Jesus Christ in order to give up your sins. It’s only by the grace of God that he leads you to pray to him to destroy all your evil desires of watching TV or any sinful desires. When you pray to God to destroy all your evil desires of watching TV or sinful desires (Romans 6:6-7 and Galatians 5:24), Satan will intervene and extremely tempt you in watching the TV. But if it’s God’s will and if you are one of God’s elects, you will overcome it and God will destroy all your evil desires of watching TV. After God has destroyed all your evil desires of watching TV and if you are one of God’s elects, you receive the joy of the Holy Spirit for about 40 minutes. After the joy wears off, all existence of boredom no longer exists and you no longer burn out (psychology) anymore. That is when you have received the Holy Spirit. Then it’s by the grace of God that he forgives you of your sins, as you confess and repent of your sins throughout your life which is called sanctification. But you can watch Christian stuff that don’t have sins (Like sermons) because that helps you grow more mature as a Christian spiritually and for more information about this sermon, go to spreadthegospel59.wordpress.com then go to The short version of “To be free from sin (sin deceives and hurts everyone) and how do we receive the Holy Spirit?” Why does God hate sin? | GotQuestions.org What does it mean that “you were bought with a price” (1 Corinthians 6:20; 7:23)? | GotQuestions.org Sin Will Never Make You Happy (What does the Bible say about hypocrisy? | GotQuestions.org) Gives thanks to God, that you are free from sin (sin deceives=never satisfied no matter how many times you do it, gives pain, makes you guilty, go from bad to worse) if you are one of God’s elect, to fight off self-pity is to give thanks to God for everything. What does the Bible say about self-pity? | GotQuestions.org Is eternal security a “license” to sin? | GotQuestions.org The reason why am hated for no reason since I were physically born and never fit in is because am one of God’s elects. (John 15:18-19) Just so you know Jesus had to carry all of God’s elects sins and endure the punishment for God’s elects sins which is Hellfire spiritually, which is extreme love and mercy. Go to the bottom website, for better explanation. www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/jesus-eternal-punishment-hours/

I am going through the same experience as you. I can only say and remind you that The Lord knows what is going on and He hears the cries of His children. Keep asking and believing that God will send an “utterance” in your children’s lives continually and one day soon they will return to Him. Look past what you are seeing and keep clinging like a child to the Lord laying all your cares and burdens on Him. He WILL sustain you through the days

I love this edition of Pilgrim's Progress! When I decided to host a bible study in my home for friends and family, some of whom I knew were not yet saved, I purchased a few copies from Aneko Press and did a read-along as the first bible study. We took turns reading aloud, one chapter a week with discussions as we went along. The age group was 19 to 60 - all women. Everyone loved it! The many, many scripture references are wonderful. It was a great lead-in when half the group had never attended a bible study before. Also a great introduction to Christian themes and terminology. I can't recommend this edition enough.

I was introduced to Pilgrim's Progress by God, who made the movie 1973 version to appear on my KZbin feed. Then I was still a baby Christian only few weeks in the faith. I liked the movie a lot and would watch it or other versions of it whenever I felt down. 2 years ago I was introduced to the full story through the reading of it on Anekopress - Christian Audio books. After listening to it I came to like Pilgrim's progress even more, and dislike what they did to the story in the movie versions. I love to go to the roots of things, that curiosity eventually helped to bring me to Christ so He would make the huge burden I had to fall off of me and seal me for eternal life. Now I have been walking with the Lord for some years, I was saved as a teen and now I am a Godly young adult. This allegory brings me comfort and joy AFTER the Word of God which I read daily. Even though I am young, in the past few years I have seen the world going down the spiral into darkness, ungodliness and general craziness of mind. This is so bad that I've found myself the only born again believer among hundreds of thousands of people. Like Christian, none of my family or my friends wanted to join with me unto the narrow way, THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, to the Celestial City. My family thinks I am crazy religious and my friends disappeared from my life. I was even rejected by other believers, who aren't living completely Holy lives, when I was trying to confront them about it. Yet I am not alone, I am part of the body of Christ from all over the world, we read, pray, encourage each other and sing together. Additionally, seeing all these end-times signs Jesus was talking about, we eagerly expecting Him to Rapture us any day now. Then, we shall reach the Celestial City the way Enoch and Elijah tread - seeing no grave. Job 19:25-27 NLT [25] “But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last. [26] And after my body has decayed, yet in my body I will see God! [27] I will see him for myself. Yes, I will see him with my own eyes. I am overwhelmed at the thought! 1 Corinthians 15:50-55 NLT [50] What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever. [51] But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! [52] It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. [53] For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies. [54] Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. [55] O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 NLT [15] We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died. [16] For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. [17] Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. [18] So encourage each other with these words. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Maranatha!

@@tedbox6299 I feel like asking the Lord to be tried by fire, to be cleansed, is something only an individual can do. I've asked the Lord to disciple me, to teach me, and to help me, and while his ways are not always pleasant to the flesh, the fruit of it is something I'd never want to give up. Still, to ask the Lord to help you, while the right thing to do, is only something an individual himself can decide to do. It's yours to ask for, and yours to obtain. That said, I'm grateful your desiring to follow Christ in this way. It not only comes with a reward, it's also what we're commanded to do, and He is worthy that we lay down our lives and follow Him as well. J.

I saw the 2019 adaptation of this story for the first time a month ago. I heard of this story and it’s author but in name and title only. I knew nothing of John Bunyan or his life. When I watched the 2019 movie, I fell in love with it! It was beautifully done and I thought the story was so gripping. So I just had to read the book and I look forward to listening to this audio. Just want to tell you friend and friends that there's hope in Jesus. Surrender completely your heart to Him and repent from all sins because he came to save us from all our sins. The word of God says ALL have sinned and we came short of God's glory but if you confess your sins He is faithful to forgive and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Praise God for his Son Jesus who came to rescue and redeem us. God bless

Aside from The Bible, I recommend that EVERYONE should read John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress; Written in 1678. Is a Christian allegory by John Bunyan. It is regarded as one of the most significant works of religious, theological fiction in English. This book is the second most translated book in the world. Naturally, The Bible is the most translated and sold BOOK in the world.

Lots of Christians won't like this book. They think the Christian walk is saying a "magic" salvation prayer and then dive into the World to make your fortune.

Yes. Denying self, taking up the cross is NOT what this lukewarm Christianity generation wants to hear. Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits. For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

@@ernest48914 Personally, I've found feelings to be the most fickle of things. Setting my mind and heart on Christ, regardless of how I "feel" is often the only way. The flesh and the devil, as so well portrayed in Pilgrim's Progress, are deceptive at best. Keep taking the next right step, regardless. Read the word, pray, and let the Lord disciple you.
