Car engines at least used to use the hot wire method for their air flow meters to determine how much fuel to inject. My SAAB does at least. That's why I don't use so called performance air filters like K&N which is oiled. Small oil particles gets blown by the hot wire, contaminating it and destroying it over time. It can be an expensive lesson. Thanks for more interesting video with field testing! 😊
