Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage Guidelines Part I, Introduction and Acute Evaluation

I had a subarachnoid hemorrhage five months ago. The pain in my head was like nothing I have ever felt before. I started shaking and lost consciousness, though I was told later that I was speaking, albeit slurred. I was flown to an excellent hospital and had a craniotomy and clipping. I got off light since all I have left of symptoms is labial emotions, tiredness, and memory gaps. I have a bit of a problem with word finding too. The thing is no one addresses the PTSD. No one addresses the emotional aftermath. Once you start walking again people think you are back to normal when you are not. No emotional support is offered but we desperately need it.

I suffered a ruptured aneurysm and haemorrhage but didn’t suffer any headache whatsoever. My only symptom was a visual disturbance, a bit like looking through a kaleidoscope.

I have a chronic subarachnoid hemorrhage. My neur says it’s old, should I be concerned?
