Hello po mam. Bigyan ko lang po kau ng short info about biopsy. May ibat ibang uri po kc ng biopsy. My ct guided biopsy, ultrasound guided biopsy ito pong dlawang biopsy na ito ay small sample tissue specimen lang po ang kinukuha s knila pra maisend s histopath. Sa breast cancer po bago po yan ibiopsy dadaan muna po yan s diagnostic imaging like sonogram-mammogram. My byrads category po yan according s size. Then kpag ms mlaki po yan s normal size ng lumps dun po papasok ang open surgery biopsy kukunin po ung bukol tpos dadalhin s histopath. Pero meron din po ibang paraan ng biopsy. C doc n lang po bahala magexpalin nbasa ko lang po ang comment nyo ngkataon lang n sa Imaging ako nkaassign hehe.

My first thyroid gland surgery was in 2016. Kalahati yung tinanggal and the result was benign and I wasn't taking meds kasi may half pa natira. After the surgery, may routine akong blood test every 6 months and all the results came back.normal up until my doctor asked ne to have an ultrasound and xray in 2021. Then the result came back na may enlarged SA natirang gland. Months later, I had the rest of my of thyroid gland removed and found out that i had papillary thyroid carcinoma. Kaya ngayon I'm.on medication na for life. Salamat SA Panginoon at naagapan ng maaga.

I have been diagnosed with the same situation with Ms. Miles. Naoperahan ako year 2021 tapos yung left side lang ang kinuha since okay naman yung sa right side ko. Hindi pa ako nakakapag RAI kasi hoping na mag conceive muna ako bago ko pantanggalin yung remaining thyroid ko. I'm also taking levothyroxine para maging stable ang T4 & TSH ko. Namana ko tong sakit ko dahil sa Lola, Mama at sa pinsan ko. Pare-parehas kami ng case. Yakap sa lahat. Gagaling din tayo 🥰

Hi Doc! i want to share my experience when 1 was 14 years old napapansin ko ng lagi na akong na stress,parang laging nasasakal,na iinitan,mabilis mapagod at hindi na dinadalawan.And yung magulang ko na noticed yung leeg ko na prang lumalaki and tinanong ako kung masakit ba ito pag ginagalaw ,hindi naman ito masakit pero pag magsusuot ako ng mga ibang damit nararamdaman ko na pra akong nasasakal and Nov 2022 nagbakasyon kami sa lola ko and laking gulat nila na malaki daw ang pinagbago ko lumaki daw ang mga mata ko at napansin rin nila ang leeg ko.Ipinakunsulta ako agad sa doktor at dun na nalaman na may hyperthyroid na pala ako sa edad na 14 nagtaka ang marami dahil sobrang bata ko pa daw para mag karoon nito .Dun nagsimula ang tuloy tuloy na follow check ups kinunan ako ng dugo,x-ray,ultra sound,heart rate etc pinapunta rin ako sa endocrinologists.baka hindi ko makaya ang opera kaya'y nagtitiis muna ako sa gamot(methimazole at propanolol)at baka maagapan rin ito until now June 2023 I'm 15 yo pinagpapatuloy ko parin ang pag inom ng gamot at pagdadasal na sanay gumaling na at mawala na ang aking sakit. Doc, father ko nagkaroon ng goiter years ago. Walang bisyo ang father ko, walang inom, walang sigarilyo, pagtaya lang sa lotto. 😂 Ang naapektuhan sa father ko is yung lower body nya, hindi sya makalakad. Anlaki din ng ipinayat nya. Nakailang specialist kami bago nadiscover na goiter pala ang sakit nya. Hindi halata sa neck nya kasi "paloob" yung naging paglaki ng thyroid nya kaya di talaga sya nadetect. Okay na naman sya ngayon. Wala sa family namin ang pagkakaroon ng goiter, pero may history kami ng diabetes.

I've been through what Miles went through. Almost same exact situation though yung situation ko was benign. I went through needle biopsy, to radiation therapy, up to the total thyroidectomy. Benign yung cyst sa akin pero lumalaki sya why I needed the surgeries. I had 2x thyroidectomy hoping on the first to save the other half pero inalis din the second half of the lobe few months after. I became hypo after my thyroid lobes were taken out. It's been over 10 years na rin and I am on a lifetime medication. I was taking the generic Levothyroxine pero di ako hiyang kaya I switched to the brand itself, Synthroid. I go through blood work at least 2-3x in a year to monitor my thyroid levels. Importante din magpa-wellness annually dahil being hypo or hyper can affect the other functions of your body.

Last 2020 po inexray ako sa Hk sa Isang clinic mga 3-4 times po paulit ulit Kasi hindi daw makita ang results..ayoko sna pumayag Kaso masungit ung mga nag eexray sa clinic tsaka wala ako sa pinas para mag inarte..wala po kami family history and now parang may thyroid problem nko Kasi I can feel the symptoms na po ung parang may naka sakal skin, difficulty in swallowing tapos nakakapa Kuna sya at kita na sa labas na parang may lymph..nag gain po ako ng weight at pawisin kahit nka Aircon na.

My husband was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism last April 2022. Pumayat siya ng 10 kg before namin nalaman na may hyperthyroidism siya. And during his medication nagkaroon din siya ng hypokalemia. Dumating sa point na halos hindi na niya maigalaw ang legs niya. Iyong pala bumagsak na ang potassium niya because of hyperthyroidism. Thank God normal naman ang sugar level niya. Sabi ng Doctor niya, mas risky daw sa lalaki ang sakit na ito. We thought that katapusan na niya. He give up his career para lang magpagamot. Saan niya nakuha? Hereditary o namamana. Namatay si papa niya dahil sa hyperthyroidism. His eldest sister was diagnosed also with same condition 3 years ago sa Singapore. Kaya sobra akong nag worry noon. Last July 2022, nag RAI siya. Radio Active Iodine. And hindi biro ang bayad ng isang tableta ng RAI. And finally, last January 2023 his doctor declared him as survivor. And okey na siya. But he need to drink his lifetime maintenance to control his TSH and T4.

My mom passed due to anaplastic thyroid cancer. 😭 Last dec 2022 namin siya napansin na may maliit na bukol sa left shoulder nya. Yun pala yung bukol na yun tumor na. Pero kumalat na. Sobrang bilis every other day nag progress na hanggang sa nabarahan na ng tumor yung left carotid nya pati yung trachea and esophagus na ay lumihis na. 😭 Sobrang bilis na hindi na inadvise na i surgery since baka mahirapan lang din mom ko due to her age. 😭 Nakakamiss lang since ako nag alaga sa kanya dahil may alzheimer siya 😭 she passed last jan 12.

Hi Doc, QQ. I had a no total thyroidectomy and result was carcinoma and second stage cancer. Under gone many next procedure including radiation. 5 yrs ago. Since last year September I stopped my hormonal medicine until now. I got sick at first. Then gain so fast weight. But now I feel better without the hormonal meds. Change life style and avoid stress

I was diagnosed with nearly stage 2 thyroid cancer when I moved to the States. At first, I was very hesitant to get it removed because I don't like taking medication in the long run. But my endoc advised me to get it removed kasi pag napabayaan it will be too late. So I said yes, we were expecting a part of it lang tatanggalin. Pero, it ended up naging total thyroidectomy dahil inflamed na ang thyroid ko. My bills went to almost $30k thank god for health care I only paid COPAY pero almost $3k din. Now I am taking Levothyroxine every day. 😞

Grabe laki ng bills pag nag pa opera ka sa state. Ganyan din nangyayare sakin ngayon, buti na lang hindi ganun kalaki ang copay ko. Nag kabukol ako sa right thyroid then abnormal daw ang result sa biopsy then I decided na tanggalin na then after that we find out na cancer na pala so need na din tanggalin yung left. Natatakot ako na uminom ng gamot habang buhay. At ang hirap ng changes sa katawan at isip nung effect nung nawala yung right thyroid ko what more pa kaya if totally wala na yung thyroid. 😔

Last year ko lang nalaman na may hyperthyroidism ako,mag 22 na ako this year and nawalan talaga ako ng confidence dahil lumaki/lumuwa yung Isa Kong mata. Ang hirap ng sitwasyon nakakawalang gana tas Wala pa Pera 😭
