Urduja is thought to be from Pangasinan but in the first episode she's speaking Bisaya. For example, she mentioned "babaye" but it should have been "bii".

Who made their scripts? Why am I hearing loan words from Spanish such as "trono" and "barbaro". Fyi this should be during Pre-spanish. Also I watched one episode where they speak "Standard Chinese" and I don't think that's the language they use during that era. I also expect hearing more Pangasinense words since Urduja was a legendary princess from Pangasinan, but this show is very disappointing. Amaya was aired 12 years ago, but I think the production, research, accuracy, etc. was way more better. In other words, pucho pucho tong show na to, they even claimed it as "megaserye", no wonder hindi sya patok sa mga manonood.

It is illogical na hanapan ng historical accuracy ang isang historical fiction like Urduja. Same with Amaya, gumamit rin ng fictional elements sa kwento na, hindi kailangan historically accurate. Nababasa naman sa intro ng episode ng Urduja ang disclaimer.

This is totally fucked up. I know this is not a true representation of the history, but at least sana they respected the dignity of Urduja's throne and people. Pinapalabas na masyado namang parang modern angry-feminists ang characters nila eh sa panahon na yun normal lang sa mga babae sa Southeast Asia ang mamuno. Ibn Batuta would not had any qualms for a woman leader kasi he saw more of them in all his travels before meeting Urduja.

It’s not true representation of the history pero this is by far the closest representation made for us filipinos. I love the effort they put on for us na dati nasa imagination lang natin. It’s not perfect but still historically researched and well represented

Not 100% accurate but still passable. On some accounts Urduja represent ancient feminisms in the Philippines, she doesn't wanna marry a man because she doesn't wanna entrust her future life with a man. Pero I think ancient Filipino gives equal rights to both a male and female Kasi may nabasa ko noon about ancient Philippines (sa Lugar or tribo na Ang sinasamba e anito/bathala or kalikasan) na mapa-babae or lalake ka man pwede Kang mag-aral,magtrabaho or matutu humawak ng sandata at makipaglaban. Binibigyan rin ng chance Ang mga kababaihan nila mamili kung magiging housewife nalang sila or magtatrabaho pa sila idagdag pa na di sila ganun ka-conservative sa pananamit. Kaya I don't really think na maraming feminist at that time kung ganun kaganda Ang system nila😊.

The thing is, Ibn Battuta is very well known for being judgmental. He grew up in Arab Morocco, trained as a Qadi (Islamic Judge) and earned certifications in the great centers of learning in Timbuktu, Damascus and Alexandria. Of course he's gonna act that way. Heck, if you read Batutta's own book "The Travels", he got married over 7 times before this alleged encounter and married three more times after that. He went to China after this and was VERY JUDGEMENTAL about China as a whole, calling it an topsy turvy world who happens to be infidels for worshipping idols and barely explore it...
