We lack training facilities but if someone from India makes a big name in UFC, we can see a drastic change. Someone like Angad has to go in there to prove a point that we can win against top competition.

If you start martial with the aim of becoming UFC champ, chances are low. You have start with wrestling or judo as a kid of fun, do competition, do nationals..then if you are good you can go to world class facilities. Just wrestle..you will become local Chad if not world champion.

If you are looking for world class MMA fighters, they have to be prodigies. 20s is already too late. The current crop will probably move the needle towards a place where kids trained in multiple sports start coming up. They have to learn, get the experience of world level, open their gyms, train people. Some of these guys have to open a gym in some mountain or something where kids can train.😂😂 Those dagestanis have been training from the age of 9-10. How can you even compete when you start in your 20s? Antim Panghal, 19, is already a world class wrestler. When that happen in MMA, we might start producing champions. Very nascent stages in Indian MMA. Or maybe UFC opens a PI here in India.
