The last Senator who held the position of DepEd Secretary was Senator Raul Rocco, whom we considered the best President we never had together with Miriam Defensor. The last 2 DepEd Secretaries were Educators (Father Luistro and Dr. Briones), they did not lay the long-term plans to improve/uplift our education goals. Dr. Briones is good, pero nahaluan ng corruption brought by the corrupt DBMs squad from Davao City, tapos pandemic pa, kaya napurol ang mga estudiante natin in the absence of face-to-face classroom sessions.

It is refreshing to hear a DepEd secretary discuss extensively the basic education problems and possible solutions. Dati kasi hindi yata nagpapa interview ng ganyan sa media ang outgoing DepEd Sec., at no comment naman kadalasan or generalities lang ang sagot pag na ambush interview, or yung USec lang ang sumasagot. It weakens the department pag ganun na parang may communication gap and less confident ang leadership. Kaya salamat at si Sec Angara na ngayon ang DepEd Secretary. Goodluck Sir and God bless!
