I remember years ago suggesting that if you watch old shows like Buffy and react to them that you would get more views. I don’t know if my comment influenced you at all, but I’m glad you finally finished both Buffy and Angel.

The incredible sadness all Buffyverse fans feel when reaching the end of Angel is palpable. The main reason being that these two shows were some of the best TV Drama ever shown, and many find it hard to find anything that compares. It is the endless re-watches that keeps most Buffyverse fans going. This is a spectacular ending from a brilliant S5 unmatched by anything in The Buffyverse. This last episode had everything, the absolute brilliance of Angel taking revenge on Marcus Hamilton 'you know the one word you shouldn't have mentioned there', the fantastic slaying by Gunn with an axe of the evil Senator, Lorne shooting Lindsey, a shocking scene as Lorne was such a gentle character, and the most heartbreaking scene ever when Illyria says to Wesley ' would you like me to lie to you now ' and changes back in to Fred, cementing the tragedy that is Wesley's life, but at that point his is at peace, knowing that Fred loved him so much. Then we have the fantastic punch from Illyria smashing the head of Cyvus Vail, giving us all great revenge. The ending in the Alleyway in the rain (this show loves alleyways in the rain) the four that are left know they are vastly outnumbered but will go down fighting to the last. David Boreanaz on being interviewed said they didn't survive, James Marsters said they did. Who really knows, but this was the greatest all all episodes in The Buffyverse. A fitting ending to two great shows, but don't you just wish at the end that Buffy and the rest of the Scoobies appeared with and army of Slayers for that ultimate final battle!

You have been a ray of sunshine...I hope you know that! You are allowed to say goodbye to us, Angel and Buffy. But please dont ever say goodbye to life. "The hardest thing in this world is to live in it" That is true...but it is also the most beautiful thing. You wont fade away. We wont let you! Thank you SO much for all you have done, the tears that you cried and the moments we shared. You are NOT done! ❤😊

Alex, thank you so much for everything you've done for us buffyverse fans, and youtube as a whole. It's weirdly apt that Not Fade Away is pretty much your last video. To quote the song this episode title is from: "It's better to burn out than to fade away." "The King is gone but he's not forgotten" "There's more to the picture than meets the eye." If watching buffy and angel over all these years has taught us anything it's that the choices you make for you are the most important thing in the world. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do on twitch!

I never know how to say goodbye, and I know it's not really goodbye because you're sticking around, so instead, I'll say thank you. Thank you Alex, for all that you've given us and all you have built. It's been a great ride and I've loved every minute.

Thanks TWB. It's been a wonderful ride. Started watching in 2017 or so and it's been an awesome ride! Important to note that Fred and Illyria's souls merged, they had planned to have more Fred come out in Season 6, she would do a BruceBanner-Hulk/Clark Kent-Superman thing where the chaotic dual spirit would express unevenly. Was so disappointed we never got that. :(

The ending is always a disappointment the first time, but then you grow to appreciate the meaning... that it's an ongoing struggle. My favourite moment is when Illyria asks Wes if she should lie to him and he says yes. GGGGrrr Arghhh, I wish I saw your reaction to that! Oh well, it's been fun watching you for 4 years (sounds stalker-ie)... Good luck on your future projects.

Its amazing how fitting the ending is. Angel started the show trying to fight for a reward. Be it redemption or making a difference or becoming human. He then faced the impossible pointless nature of that through Jasmine and learned that if nothing we do matters, all that matters is what we do. And that's how the show ends. Angel doing what matters. Fighting the good fight in the life and conflict beyond a single person. And yeah there's no definitive end, no definitive fin written at the end of the story. Just the fight for what one believes in. Just the choices and beliefs we take up to make the world better, no matter how pointless or hard or beyond our capabilities it might be. And thus the show ends with Angel living that message, that moment of making the choice to fight for the ideal of a better future. And whether the fight continues with the comics or ends here, it does not matter in the end. Because all that matters is what we do.

I had a friend who worked on Angel, and when the series ended there was talk about a movie to wrap up the show. Kinda like how Firefly ended with Serenity. Unfortunately, it never happened... :(

It’s the perfect ending for the show. After Angel hits rock bottom in season 2 after his elevator ride from hell with Holland Manners where he realized that he can never truly “win” against evil. But it’s about fighting the good fight for as long as you can. “If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do”. The shows rallying cry and a fitting end for the series. Just perfect in my book

Well I'm here several days late but I'm glad I got to watch you have same reaction I did when I finished Angel. You hit me in the feels bud with "knowing when to say goodbye". Hit little too close to home. Btw I learned about back in 2018 when I was watching Star Wars Rebels and had to watch other people's reaction to Season 3 with Grand Admiral Thrawn canon. I'm happy to have watching ya grow in those few short years. Definitely gonna follow on twitch bud
