How's that happy? Oh, and Fred lives so he's not only completely destroyed but his love came back to life without him.

Wesley really did treat Angel as a father figure during their early years together. He looked up to him and craved his approval so much. It makes a ton of sense when you realize what his own father was like. I loved his loyalty to him and those early seasons of friendship.

The last time they see each other is in the comics, actually. Angel says he has a plan to defeat wolfram and heart and make things back to normal (LA went quite literally hell after S5). I think his story over the last few episodes is legit my favourite part of both buffyverse shows. Every scene he has with illyria is so packed with depth and amazing acting that despite how painful it Is i love it every time.

If I were writing Angel I'd make them hook up in s5 lmao. It would have been messy and fun. But man I love how complex their friendship is. Sometimes on other shows a character fucks up, they fight, but then after a while they just go back to the status quo ... you still see the aftereffects of Wesley's choice with Connor echo throughout the rest of their show and their friendship, and it's really real.

And I laughed, he maintained seriousness. Then my Ex walked into the room and held his hand, looking at me but not making eye contact, looked like she was gonna cry. As soon as I stopped laughing and my face un-smiled there was a few seconds of silence. And then they both (rehearsed) pointed and laughed manically at me, high fiving each other and hugging. Then he gave me a hug and she gave me a kiss. They said they wanted to give me some perspective on my surgery. I mocked their egos that they thought me losing them was the worst thing imaginable. As suggested less self centred alternatives like “your mums dead and she fell on your puppy on the way down.” Or “ a dirty bomb went off outside London a few hours ago” “Or they mixed your charts with a dude with face cancer, so they removed your face by accident” “ they had a general election yesterday and the Green Party won”
