That it is basically a completely different person and not really a second chance. And the only life she get is the one in her memories.

I don't understand what other interpretation could have possibly been had from this? And yeah I think she just checkmated Buddhism. What would Mother Teresa or some poor struggling person with a decent personality possibly learn if they had been Hitler's reincarnation without all of his memories, personality, and choices?

Yuri's speech is so beautiful, it honestly feels like my heart is breaking when I hear this speech. Its so beautiful and deep and meaningful and the delivery was amazing. I always get goosebumps, I'm always moved by this speech I almost ALWAYS cry when I hear it.

Imagine getting up in class suddenly and making a speech like this. The last few seconds when it's revealed she's alone in the classroom with an eerie red light outside just floors me. It's a metaphor for the idea that we are all alone in the end. Even a cute anime girl is alone.

One of the unforgetable scenes in the anime! I love her speech. I also have the same thoughts as her. Even if I die and get reincarnated, it doesn't change the fact that "my current life" just ended. My next life I would not remember anything, its a new life, new family, new experiences and its not the same life as I have now. So I want "this life" to be fulfilled and not have a miserable ending.

i love yuri so much! she's so strong and such a great (and kawaii) leader! but her backstory is so tragic i just wanna give her a big hug! in the last episode, when she was saying goodbye to kanade and how she wish they could have been friends earlier. how cute but yet very sad. one thing that makes me laugh everytime is that episode where they were having exams and she made hinata and the other boys flying with the chair! OMG TOO FUNNY

I couldn't hold it back any more... I must say i find this anime as the saddest i loved clannad and Ef memories and melodies .. but i find Ano hana as the best cuz it tells such a strong passionate story witch breaks your heart and makes you cry for the days to come in only 11 episodes... The school scene is quite creepy even it supposes to represent a perfect bliss. Perfection should not exist because it takes away that humanity from us -- we are more like robots.

I'm glad to see other people who appreciate English dubs. Americans dubbed it for a reason, so we wouldn't have to read subtitles all the time, and focus on the emotions and emphasis in the voice of our common language. I enjoyed Angel Beats AND Kanon 2006 in english, more than in Japanese. No offense to the Japanese dubbed fans, it's only opinion, I prefer english. But of course, if it is only in Japanese, I'll watch it in that language. If it has an english dubbing, I'm watching it in english.

I'm glad you enjoyed Eden of the East. :D And I've heard of Pandora Hearts, but never watched a single episode, do you like it so far? I might watch it, but I'm in the middle of watching Dusk Maiden of Amnesia, and after that I may watch The Familiar of Zero, that looks interesting to me, and its got four seasons, so it'll definitely be a nice big series. I haven't watched a long anime series in a while since Fullmetal Alchemist, I've been watching a lot of short-but-sweet animes recently. :D

Sometimes, mysteries like that are fun. Besides, you get enough information about how Hinata died (drugs by the anime) and Iwasawa that you do not want to ruin the show by trivial things.

It's a difficult challenge to look passed such ecchi hotness, but I managed. The plot was pretty good, but the ending didn't tickle my fancy. It seemed like they didn't know how to end it, so they just threw something together. It was a bit of a cliffhanger, but I've heard some confirmation of a second season, so I'm a bit happy at that. Let's just hope they keep the same characters, and perhaps add a couple new ones. And maybe touch on a little more back-story of the current characters.

Oh.. well I Just finished Eden of the east .. and also the 2 movies i loved it... i really liked the story and so on.. also a good interesting ending.. But I really hoped they got too meet once again in the end after getting separated but sadly that wasn't what happened but still I loved it.. I'm beginning to see Pandora hearts today I had it advised as a good one do u know it ?

They truly never say, Otonashi asks her even. She says she was the last one alive, but admits she didn't commit suicide or anything. The anime just doesn't tell you. It doesn't say TK's either..people do that on purpose so fans can come up with what they want.

It's about a Japanese girl who visits Washington DC, and randomly gets into trouble, and this guy with amnesia wakes up naked, with a gun in one hand, and a phone in the other for 8,200,000,000 Yen worth of digital cash in it. His name is Akira, so he thinks. Akira then helps out the girl, and he basically tries to figure out who he is, and he figures out he's been in some weird mysterious shit. It's kind of a love story, with mystery. It's kinda funny too, I love Akira, he's a badass.

I totally agree, if the dub is ridiculous, of course I'll watch it in Japanese, but that's really the only exception. Plus, I favor most American voice actors, because of their voice and the roles they play, such as Brittney Karbowski(Yuri from Angel Beats), Greg Ayres(Naoi from Angel Beats), David Matranga(Hinata from Angel Beats, Tomoya from Clannad), Vic Mignogna(Edward Elric from FMA), etc. I rarely favor Japanese voice actors, they sound a bit similar in my opinion. English is more varied.

But still have some extremely good sad moments where you just break down. ofc. it's not as sad as ano hana but It tells a great story It's manly about this guy developing a time microwave machine. which lets him send messages back to the past and alter the future.. but then something happens ... ever seen the butterfly effect movie.. It's much like that one ;) but I promise you that you will love it

I'm guessing that there are five sub-haters who watched this. I am a major dub fan, and felt that this was done better in English, but I still liked it. In fact, I have it on my top 5 lines in anime playlist, even though the only reason this is on it is because I couldn't find a dubbed video for it.
