I do a lot of bag content on this channel.... but I am interested in other things. There was a time when I was obsessed with finding a replacement for my much loved, and falling apart cafe racer jacket. So when the offer to check out an offering from Angel Jackets.... of course I said yes! Lets open this bag and see what we got inside!

Looks like it fits well. I think the large was a good choice. Toss a hoodie under it and it'll be even better. Thanks for the vid!

Having looked back at it on a larger screen and a mirror, the large fits pretty good. I do wish it was slightly tapered to he waist, but it's not to bag. I plan on tossing a hoody under it later this week when it's suppose to be warmer (about 32), and giving it a proper break in.

Hey Jeff, the jacket looks good, it's a brand new jacket so it has to get worn in, a trick I did with my suede one of a similar design was to soak it in a bath of hot water for an half hour or so, it will take a while to dry out but don't hang it up!! That will stretch it! leave it to dry flat or if you can be bothered dry it by an open fire. This process will take out the stiffness and some of the dye to give you better fit and that bit of a worn in look. Still not happy with it? Repeat the process. Good luck, but by the time you read this you will have moved on to something else I suppose 😊 Thanks for posting man and best wishes from the UK. 🇬🇧

This is quite funny. Not 10 minutes ago I emailed Angel Jackets to see if they wanted to partner up again for another jacket. I have been meaning to do your exact process for ages. The jacket came when it was to cold to wear it much. Then I kind of forgot about it for a while. Might have to give it a soak tonight.

I got the same jacket. I bit oversized and nice construction, that being said, I don’t think is real leather.

On my experience, lamb skin often does not look or feel like real leather. This so because we are more use to thin cow hide. I brought a different lamb skin jacket to a leather shop years ago, and they confirmed it was real. The Fernando was basically the same feeling as that jacket. Not to say, a different batch may not be real leather. These jackets are assembled and ship from the Middle East. So there is no way to track down and confirm if they are all real.

@@jeffgrantMEDIA I hear you. I like the feel and look of real leather, I own about six or seven of them, I’m taking the Fernando jacket to the Taylor to shorten the sleeves. I will ask the him to save the leftover “leather” to perform the ultimate test, which is try and burning it, I’m very curious myself. I’ll keep you posted.

I live in San Francisco, can't get much use out of a light weight jacket. I need the heavy motorcycle style leather jacket to keep warm.

You need a medium. I am 5'9' 175 lbs with a 40/41" chest and 33" waist and wear a medium. The large swallows you. Leather jackets should be form fitting.

I know. They recommended a large for me. So I got a large. It was much to big, but I have sold this jacket. I don’t wear t leather as much these days. I’m o. A waxed canvas kick. All size medium.

I know this is an old video but I ended up finding it because I was curious about this jacket and you happened to I've done a review on it. My one question is how tall are you?
@jeffgrantMEDIA

5’9”. I was probably 165-170 when this was filmed. Most of my weight was n my legs, as I was training for marathons at the time. So my upper body was pretty slim.

@@jeffgrantMEDIA thank you I appreciate it. Their size chart is a bit different from other companies that I buy leather jackets from or suit jackets. I'm 5 foot 11 and 214 lb I want the Jackie to have more of a fitted look so I'm assuming I would need to go with the large.

Hey Jeff, I need some advice: I'm 6.1 feet, not slim, but neither fat ... I'm not sure if I should go for a L size or a XL ... If I consider the chest size guide, I should go for L, but I'm worried it might not be a good fit considering my arm's length . Thanks in advance!
@jeffgrantMEDIA
@jeffgrantMEDIA Жыл бұрын
I am normally a size medium. But I went with a size large in this based on the recommendations. They say go up on size from your normal size. That said the arms fit me pretty good, but the body is a bit big and boxy for me. For point of reference I am 5’9” and currently about 189-185 (i’ve been far too lazy this summer). It does get quite cold in my corner of the world, so the extra room does allow me to wear something a little warmer underneath jacket on days when it’s very cool in the morning. But I feel like a medium might’ve been a better choice for me.

Hey Jeff, just viewing your review of Angel Jackets. Great to see before I purchase, thanks! May I ask you your advice on size? I'm a 6ft tall slim guy, prefer more snug than baggy. Would you say Angel are larger, smaller, or just right fit? I am tossing between sizes S and M. No response from Angel customer care themselves sadly. Thankyou!

I would go with a medium, if for nothing else the sleeve length. I normally wear a medium, but they sent me a large based on their size recommendations. And I find the large to be baggier than I would normally like, but the sleeve length is pretty good. I am only 5’9”.

@@jeffgrantMEDIA Oh wow Jeff, this is great! Thanks man! Super quick reply - much appreciated! Yeah sleeve length can be an issue being a tall guy - I am 6ft tall with long(ish) arms. Here in OZ, not likely to wear anything under but a T or Polo either. Cheers!!

I just went and skimmed his article. He is telling you to not buy a $150 jacket and instead spend $1000-$2600 on a jacket. The average person cannot spend that on a. Jacket. Hell $1000 is more than my mortgage for a month. $2600 is 3 months of payments to keep a roof over my daughters head. While I agree the leather is fairly low quality, it is not the worst quirky leather I have had in a jacket before. PS. Please change your name back to Squirrel Master. That is a great name.
