Angel LCD - 26 Modes of Fire

I was always impressed with the Angel LCD's board capabilities - especially the modes of fire. The competitors had 4-6 modes without a screen. The Angel LCD had 26 modes of fire including user programable modes and locked out sleeper modes. You could hook the marker to your computer and go wild. It was an awesome time in paintball and a huge jump in technology. I was so happy to be a part of it. I still believe there was never as big of a jump as there was between the Angel LED and Angel LCD. Anyways, here is a video of all 26 modes of fire.

Nice! I had an unlocked board and never fully appreciated the multitude of modes, mostly just used A, B, and D.

Yeah, my guess is the modes were in development around the time that the Shocker Turbos were banned. So many people never left mode B. If you watch old pro pb vids from 2000-2001, you can hear some people shooting non-semi modes. Nowadays, these modes are really fun with recball.

Are the "ZIP" modes functionally different from the normal bursts? Other than the rate of fire?

They seem the same. The zip modes are probably better suited for a revy when you wanna be safe and not risk chopping. I'll have to post a video at some point regarding why WDP was right in so many of their decisions and thus kept quiet about them. They limited the MROF to 13bps, which is not just a random number. When I took Physics, I calculated how fast balls in a straight line could fall based on gravity. That number was 13.33. So if your marker is tuned properly with no blowback, your Angel can fire 13bps for the balls that were in the stack. Also, isn't it funny how WDP used a 14" barrel on their markers beginning with the Angel LED in the late 90s? It took years... or maybe a decade for other manufacturers to lock in on that. So many video ideas, so little time :(
