Reese is a tenacious rebounder and she gets defensive rebounds as well as her own missed shots. Some folks think rebounding is boring but it is part of the game and she does it as good if not better than anyone else. No, she is not a playmaker that looks to set up her teammates.

Great STATS by Angel Reese. That's 130th Points/Rebound double doubles for the season. But of course there are only 19 Points/Assists double doubles for the season and I think 4 of them are Caitlin Clark's double doubles and lastly 3 triple doubles within the season and 1 is historically done by Caitlin Clark who is also a ROOKIE. But then again, it's still a great stat.

Yep, assists are way harder than rebounds, but Reese fans plug their ears when anyone mentions it. You can get rebounds on both ends of the court and essentially get limitless offensive rebounds on the same possession, and also get points on top of offensive rebounds. You can only get assists during offense and only one per possession, and you can't also get points in the same play.

Storm is my team with Ezi being my favourite (so I'm loving the blocks!) but Reese and Carter kept Sky in the game. It would have been a much closer game had Cardoso stayed in. Reese breaking the record is awesome! These new rookies have made this season more exciting than previous years and I love it! Oh, and I think I'm one of the very few people who love Dick Fain's enthusiasm when he commentates. He's hilarious to me - every game is like Game 5 in the final series when we're down to the wire 😂😂It helps that he commentates for Storm and he loves Ezi as much as I do lol.

Pertaining to the ROY conversation: No doubt Reese is a great rebounder and is showing signs of improvement offensively, but I disagree that her double double streak puts her ahead of Clark. Here's some stats, and these are all-time WNBA league-wide, that back my opinion: total double doubles - 4,603; total triple doubles - 38. That's a ratio of 121 to 1. Even looking down the lists of players who have had 1 or more double double - more than half were average or less than average players; the triple double list is filled with current or future hall of famers. Again, Reese is great. Almost any other year wins ROY by a landslide, but CC looks to be a generational player, so CC SHOULD win this year. I say should because if the voters for this award are anything like McNutt, Hill, the B&W sports too guy, etc... it won't matter how they perform. Result may be agenda based.

You need to put up stats on total league -points/rebounds DDs, total league- points/assists DDs and total league triple doubles. In the next column put up Reese’s numbers in those three categories and in the next column put up CCs numbers. CC will have numbers in all three and Reese only in one. And the league number of p/a DDs is a fraction of P/r DDs which shows that the p/r dd is so much easier to achieve than the P/a DD. Look behind the stat sheets to see what the numbers mean!!

For people who don’t know if you’re a point guard you mainly decide how long the ball is in your hands. Clark is a guard so of course she should be responsible for a decent about of the points.

Regarding points, we all are aware that CC only average 2 more points than AR.. Are we??. I say that as it always seems as though there’s such a big gap between the two regarding points.. For me, I love both players! I would want both on my team. But breaking an all player WNBA record and leading the WNBA in a major stat category, you simply can’t down play or ignore that.. Angel’s teammates need to do a better job of finding her in the post. There were a few occasions where she was either completely open under the basket or had a guard on her and they either sailed the pass over her head or didn’t even look at her. She could have easily had 25pts yesterday.

You are killing me with riding the fence. Clark has way better numbers across the board. Reese is living off 1 broken rebound record while Clark is breaking records every game. On top of that her triple double is is not a broken record because it's never been done, she's the one and only on the list. There have been over 11,000 games and well over 1000 different player in the WNBA. In that history only 35 triple doubles and now only one rookie ever on that list. You said Reese had a good game today with 17 and 14, the Storm had players with 24/13/2, 13/13/4, 15/3/8, and 20/2/4. What she is doing is every day league numbers. If you took out Reese's rebounds she averages 13 points and 1 assist. Clark is averaging 16/6/7, take away any of the 3 and she is still impressive. Reese also gets the luxury of not handling the ball, no full court pressure, no double and triple teams, and not being the top of the opponents game plan. The funniest part is the guard having damn near 20 blocks while the inside player has 6. Please stop riding the fence for clicks sake. Your channel is better than that.

Cardoso was injured before the season started. She got injured in preseason 6 weeks. Not to mention to helps on the boards and the clog the lane when she is in. Chenndy was bench player now recently has been a starter. The difference between the Sky and Fever is chemistry, change, and wanting to get better, coach the players on the floor, defense mindset, pushing each other. All on KZbin but it's not shown here beside recap & comments. The Fever doesn't have all this. Sky coach is with the players at the interview with reports. Answering questions. You should see yesterday's game & Reese, Chenndy, & coach Witherspoon answering questions from reporters. Witherspoon hug Chenndy at the end. (Please watch) None of this was mentioned yesterday on his channel. The Sky will be alright because they want to win and want to get better and chemistry from the players and coach. When they play here in Chicago they sell out not mentioned in other outlets. We love Chicago Sky because they represent how Chicago people work and get dirty. People who put rebounds and assists on the same level are either casuals or people with an agenda. Anyone can check the stats right now to see which one is easier to get, plus assists count for at least 2 points which makes em actually impactful on the game.

Isnt Caitlin Clark the most defended player in the W? Is any other guard picked up at baseline, halfcourt like she is? She is the third most fouled player player in the W, that is with official called fouls. The more you watch her you begin to realize if the refs called all the fouls that SHOULD BE called, opposing players would start fouling out. I think that’s called favorite!

It's easier for rebounds in "two towers" team, when Cardoso puts pressure on defense and close shots are often missing and she is the only big left under the basket, or there are missed 3's without attempt to rebound by the opponents- AR's defensive rebouds were often uncontested. AR is agile(but not fast), her shooting style is terrible, so double double for her is standard, and it's not a big deal(much less effort and difficulty than getting 10 assists in WNBA). If she played as the only big, her stats would probably be bit worse(more competition under basket), but still enough to get 10 rebounds with her abilities. She may have bigger problem to get 10 pts, than 10 rebounds. She is great rebounder for WNBA standards, but general skills and impact on a team much smaller than CC's .

@@Barto-p4k Where did i write she doesn't need to work on rebounds? I just wrote that with her abilities at current moment she should be getting double/double every game. She may have some easy rebounds, but someone has to get them, they still count, she can rebound on the more contested/ offenive boards, but in the last game she often played near the free throw/3pt line and sometimes had no chance to fight for a rebound(still had 4-good). She has a potential to develop into a better player. If she works on her shooting and positionin she can reach 15-20/15 (ppg/rbdpg). When she doesn't need to defend bigger defensive threats (Ezzi Magbegor had difficult times when Cardoso was on the floor), she performs better. She still has to learn/work a lot.

Take a rookie NFL wideout who's going to set passing records for receptions and score a slew of touchdowns and then take a rookie QB who's so revolutionary he's going to change the nature of the game itself and, in addition, can run, pass and call automatics brilliantly in and out of the pocket, elevating his losing team to the point of making it a future Superbowl contender. Football and Basketball are 2 different worlds. There are similarities, but this was a stretch to say Reese and all players other than Caitlin are of no value. Your analogy can go both ways. Both need to perform well. Caitlin could be a good passer and the team not able to convert shots. Then her passing wouldn’t matter, you’d need new mates. Same goes for bad passing (her turnover rate). Her current TO rate could deem her as an average passer or worse because it almost evens out. So we would need a new PG. Clark is first rookie in WNBA history to have 300 point 150 assists and 100 rebounds in a season and did it in 22 games plus the triple double.
