this song reminds me of my grandpa. when my dad used to get bullied as a kid in the philippines, (he has a physical deformity, and he had a extra finger and ear tag.) my grandpa would step in and stood up for him. even if the bully’s parents were defensive and threw hands (violently..) because “my kid had every right to do whatever he wanted” or translate that in filipino and thats what they said, my grandpa would fight them anyway. he got hurt, but he kept going. he never backed down to save my dad, even if it was about risking his life to parents, because if he didn’t fight, my dad would be the one facing the parents. my grandpa passed away when i was in 1st grade. i’m in 6th grade now. may he rest peacefully in a better place.
