I think u should still give his parents some money, like 10k. No matter what, they're still his parents who gave birth to him. Not doing your wedding doesn't equal to not giving them money. Them giving him life supercede them paying for his wedding. I don't understand hmong people who always used the excuse of "koj twb tsis tau tsa kuv yim ces kuv tsis kam muab nyiaj rau koj, or kuv tsis kam ua koj lub ntees." That's like the most stoopid reason and excuse ever. Is giving a life worth less than doing a wedding? You're a mother too. U tell me. Is u giving birth to your son and raising him until adulthood worth less than u doing his wedding for 5k? Think about that. And honestly, i think he would want u to give at least a little something to his parents too bc he loves his parents. Unless he specifically said not to give them a penny, i think morally and out of your kind heart, if u r, then giving them 10k is good enough. But it seems you're just as stubborn as them and let your emotions get the best of u.
