It's a blessing to be able to live a long fulfilled life, a good friend of mine died at eighteen years old when he was pushing his workmates car in heavy snow. He bend down and started pushing the car when he suddenly vomited and choked to death on his vomit, it happened so quickly that there was nothing that anyone could do to save his life. Another friends daughter died from neuroblastoma (a type of cancer) at only three and a half years old. Like I said living a long life fulfilled is a blessing, you can't be like Peter Pan all your life.

I was very moved by this interview.Charmi was a beautiful woman and such a talent.It is so nice that the 7 actors that played the children stayed such close friends for over 50 years. The two interviewers were very nice and caring.

The Sound of Music, the most beautiful movie ever made. Liesl played by Charmian Carr, was a beautiful actress, with the most angelic voice when she spoke and sang in the movie. Her eyes danced and sparkled in the movie, her eyes also were angelic like. I will always love this movie, I can watch it over and over again and never tire of it. Both Julie Andrews and Charmian Carr have inspired my own singing and last few years have been writing my own songs. Liesl, (Charmian Carr) rest in peace and may you sing with the choir of angels in Heaven always. Sadly, Heather Menzies, who played Louisa passed away recently. Angela Cartwright has aged beautifully and one can see, especially at the end, her sadness and grief. She went on to do "Lost in Space" and at the age of three was cast as little Linda in "Make Room for Daddy" . She now works as a photographer.

Funny that her and her sister Veronica Cartright are English and their parents went to America to live in the mid 50,s.By her own admission Angela says in Lost in space she did sound very English still.

I attended a book signing by Ms. Carr in Pasadena, CA. I had her sign the book for my niece and her dad. I remember meeting Angela a few yrs. ago in S. Pasadena, CA. at another book signing about her role in Lost in Space. And when I first saw Angela's name in the onscreen credits at the SOM opening overture, I thought: "Oh, Angela Cartwright from The Danny Thomas Show..." since I knew her from that tv pgm.

Interesting tidbit...to me. When Cartwright was on Make Room for Daddy, she was about 5. She did an appearance at a May Co store, they put her on a counter & she lip sang, I was a bit older but I remember seeing her.

I'm so sad and shocked about Ms. Charmian Carr's passing. Didn't knew she had dementia. It is not supposed to be fatal but she unfortunately had the rare kind. Oh God I will miss Liesl. She's the prettiest Von Trapp family character I think. R.I.P. God bless you in heaven!

uma curiosidade sobre a Louisa é que apesar de ela ser a terceira filha da família Von Trapp, em verdade ela era a segunda atriz mais velha das 7 personagens ,atrás apenas da Chamiam Kerr, ela é mais velha inclusive que o próprio Nicholas Hammond, que fez o Frederick (2° filho da escadinha von trapp)... poderiam portanto terem colocado ela como a segunda filha mais velha dos Von Trapp, ao invés de ser a terceira...mas enfim : não fizeram assim.

Checking on Wikipedia, Dan Truhitte joined the military after making TSOM and has since appeared in some stage productions and also teaches. A lady I used to work with (now retired) was once a dancer and she had apparently danced with him. (Yes, he was very handsome and only 20yo during filming).
