The thicker paints don't dry as quickly. I spray mine with water pretty often too. So glad you enjoyed this!

I dip my brush in water (just the tip) almost every time I pick up paint. It keeps the bristles moist and prevents the paint from drying out too fast. Also spraying the palette as I work helps.

for the shadow do u use the same colour as the object you are painting? eg. a tree shadow do you do it in brown and green? Thanks for your teaching you are really good

I sometimes will use the opposite color. So for green shade use a little red. Burnt umber works well because it is a warm brown. Purple or blue also works well for shade in just about any color.
