I got some wonderful small acetate sheets..I think they are 4.25 x 5.5 inches from Amazon. I wanted that size because then I dont need to make huge cuts or get a lot,of waste of the acetate. They come 20 sheets to a pack with a piece of tissue paper in between each piece. I'm just a terrible procrastinator Angela or else I'm afraid of making a huge mistake. But I will try this weekend to accomplish something to show people i am trying. I have made 7 journals altogether. But when I look upon them now they seem so immature and silly. I want the sophisticated look you achieve. Well huge hugs to you my friend. Have a great weekend. Much love, Marlene

Such amazing compliments you bestow on me Marlene!. Thank you so much! Practice makes perfect lovely. What’s the worst that can happen? Just more for your scraps pile. I was the same, but persistence pays. Your acetate pieces sound wonderful! 7 journals is quite a lot of journals! I am sure they are lovely! Thank you Angela - gorgeous use of acetate! I am a newbie to sewing and I am not sure if you mentioned it on the video as I didn’t hear it but is there anything special you need to do with your machine for sewing on acetate? Thanks! Also any suggestions for settings is greatly appreciated!
@AngelaKerrDesigns Жыл бұрын
Hello and welcome to my channel Gemma! So pleased you are enjoying all these videos. To help with your question, I didn’t change anything on my sewing machine to see the acetate. I would suggest that the acetate isn’t on the underside as it slips when stitching. Either sandwich it between paper or have it on the top of what you are sewing. Hood that is of use to you. Thank you so much for watching! 🌸☺️🌷💗🦋

Yes, of course you can, Jillian. I use one of two different types of glue: Art Glitter glue and Beacon's 3in 1or Fabritak. Both work very well adhering acetate to card or paper. I use them all the time just for that. I get them from Amazon. Hugs and smiles xx
