My Grandma's Kitchen Recipe Journal!

My mother passed away right before Christmas. I have all of her recipe cards and a recipe book she authored when I was a child. I would love to make a special book with them for me and my cousins and second cousins. Just lovely!

Ohmygosh Angela! This is such a beautiful recipe book! Love all the pages, and every single detail is just amazing! I have made one with all of my Christmas cookie recipes. I re-purposed an old red Webster's dictionary. Also, a few years ago, I created 6 recipe books using envelopes for my pages. They were Christmas presents for my 2 girls, my sister in law, and 2 nieces. And I also, made one for myself. They were all different themes. They held only my mom's recipes, in her handwriting. I love this Recipe Journal. Love everything vintage. The digital is so cute. I love how you put so many quotes in there too. There is so many pockets in this to add recipes like from magazines. I used to sit on the back jump seat of the aircraft and cut receipts out of magazines and put them in my apron. When I finished my trip I would have to clean my apron out so I didn’t wash those recipes I carefully cut out of the magazines. Over the 12 years I was a flight attendant I accumulated many recipes. This would be a great journal to include them in. Thank you so much for sharing. Love the red gingham so much.

I have been working on several vintage cook books and I’ve struggled to find digital kits that I liked, these are beautiful! I will definitely go and take a look of these. TFS. I had collected a bunch of vintage gingham fabrics in green, red, yellow, brown, and orange. I took some of each and backed them onto chipboard and photo copied of each of them. They turned out so nice and work beautifully in my cook book and left me with the fabric to make ephemera with, like the trims and bows.
