I am a 50 year old eclectic runner. I love tulle, mini skirts and varsity looks. I did not used to like them and never showed me legs. But I am in the best shape of my life now. Longer skirts tend to make my 4'11 frame frumpy too

The trends I like the most are the preppy look, asymmetrical skirts and pleated skirts. On the other hand, the big shoulders, the crazy stripes, and the sailor collars look I REALLY don't care for!

Thanks for a fun video, Angela! I would definitely wear some of the trends for 2025, others are a hard “no”. I think tulle or chiffon could be pretty in a spring or summer dress if done right. I’ve always been a bit of a preppy dresser so I’m on board with that trend. It’s a classic look and you can wear those pieces for a long time. They never really go out of style. Looks like spring fashion is going to be interesting, can’t wait to see what hits the stores. As for the bra, while it looks nice and well made I honestly don’t think it will hoist my 70 year old 42DDD girls up where they belong!😂

OMG, I remember those sofas! No huge shoulder pads! I used to take mine out of my 80s suits. I have narrow shoulders, but I couldn't stand those things. I like the pleated midi skirts with the vests. I like the floral with the animal prints. I like the Comfelie bras. I only wish the didn't have the removable pads. It might just be the style that I purchased. No sailor inspired outfits for me. My initial reaction to these Spring trends is no way, lol. But I figure after the fashion houses for the typical/average consumer rework these trends to fit the aesthetic of the average consumer, we’ll be trying them.

There must have been a contest between designers to come up with the ugliest most hideous clothing they could possibly imagine and see how many people would buy and wear them. Too much fast fashion that will not last. Preppie works if some pieces like Ralph Lauren old money but the collegiate look is a hard pass. I like the bras (as I buy NEIWAI) but I feel both brands have a lot of material to them that isn't compatible with some v-neck or low cut tops (they will show). Excellent topic! I remember leopard and florals. I associate that with Betsy Johnson. I think 2025 is going to be moody; more grey/blacks, longer hems. I've followed fashion for decades and fashion does follow moods. Once in awhile designers and retailers miss the target for what's selling. There was a study (long time ago) that proved hem height reflected the economy. That's the only study I know of.

Ok so my 1980s bright red leather calf length coat has come back! I usually get alot of compliments on it. I also still have my high school jacket and floral print dresses that I made in the 90s. The jacket with the animal print with the tropical flowers was really cute, but I don't be pairing stripes with my animal print pants. I am super interested in the bras. Tell us about the sizing.

I'm sure you are a beautiful woman. Women come in all sizes. I personally am to skinny. People use to tell me you are to skinny & I would say quit telling me that & you wouldn't like it if I told you you're fat. I see myself every day I know how I look. My point is you need to love yourself and see your beauty. Watch you tube videos of how larger size women dress to see if there's anything you like. Do you and realize your beauty and worth. I had two kids in the early 80’s. They were two years apart. So I was busy. And I don’t remember what I wore. Definitely not floral. My grandmother had a tan sofa and chair. She never wore florals either. I think I did wear shoulder pads back then. But not now. I will look into the bras you shared. I’m in need of some new bras. Mine are all so old. I’m not looking forward to any of these trends. They just don’t sound like me. I keep wearing what I already have. I’m sure people around me would look at me funny if I dressed in any of that stuff, I’m a 65 year old woman who lives in the Georgia. I will wear my shorts and t shirts as usual.

Ha the couches the varsity, pleated, floral yeah noo. Didn’t do those back in 80s not going to do now. Now the argyle maybe and I actually like the padded shoulders helps to look slim for waist. I like the preppy sweater vest/white shirt and could maybe wear other preppy looks but meh on everything else. Definitely not wearing big shoulder pads even though they are flattering for my pear shape. I never really liked them in my teens/young twenties in the 80's. I remember ripping them out if they were too big.

Designers are Artists so they try to create looks that are more Art than Ready to Wear. Women need to know their own style, what cut works on their body. It doesn’t matter what’s in or out but what is the best style for your body type, age, coloring and stage in life? I am a 65 year young fashionista but never get caught up in the annual “ what’s in & out” as I will always look good as I know my style whether from 1960 to 2024!

I have yet to be impressed with any wireless bras for me. I have tried I swear every brand too, haven't heard of this one yet. They just sag by the end of the day, they only work for my bedtime bra usage. I have one style wire bra that I can wear to keep my girls up. Maybe if I was a smaller cup size like a B it would be fine.
